There is provided a pack (10) in the form of a stirrer for a hot or cold beverage. The stirrer comprises first and second films (13, 14) sealingly connected around a periphery to enclose a volume in which is disposed a liquid. The liquid is conveniently disposed in an elongate channel (15) formed in one of the films. Openable portions (17, 55) are provided at respective ends of the stirrer, one openable portion (17) allowing the liquid to flow out once opened and the other openable portion (55) acting as a vent. Each openable portion is opened by peeling apart the two films and has a stronger connection (52, 57) provided to limit the opening of the ends.

There is provided a pack (10) for a product (12) which is sealingly retained in a volume defined by first and second films (13, 14) sealingly secured about a periphery. The pack has an openable portion through which a liquid contained in the product (12) can be dispensed. One of the films (14) has a pre-formed hinge (20) across at least part of the volume to assist folding of, and liquid extraction from, the product (12). The pre-formed hinge (20) may be in the form of a pre-formed fold line.

A peelable lid system includes a peelable lid, a seal configured to seal the peelable lid to a container, a handle coupled to the peelable lid, and a lifting mechanism coupled to handle. The lifting mechanism can be coupled to the peelable lid at a plurality of attachment points, including at least one attachment point coupled to the peelable lid away from the handle. The lifting mechanism can be configured to lift at least one portion of the peelable lid near each of the plurality of attachment points.

There is provided a pack (10) in the form of a stirrer for a hot or cold beverage. One of the films (14) has a pre-formed hinge (20) across at least part of the volume to assist folding of, and liquid extraction from, the product (12). The pre-formed hinge (20) may be in the form of a pre-formed fold line.

There is provided a pack (10) for a product (12) comprising a piece of fruit having a rind and a flesh portion containing a liquid in the form of juice. The product (12) is sealingly retained in a volume defined between two films (13, 14) which are sealingly connected around their periphery. The pack (10) has a first openable portion (16) from which the liquid/juice can be dispensed. The fruit product has one or more cuts (47) in its rind to facilitate the manipulation of the fruit to improve juice extraction.

The invention is a container comprised of two or more sections that are held together at an interface by one or more joints or seams. Decorative exterior layers can cover or otherwise obscure the seams, or the joints can be obscured or made inconspicuous. Two sections of the container each have a cord that is attached to the exterior side of the sections on opposite sides of the container, and a ring is attached to each cord so that when pulled, the sections of the container separate to reveal the interior of the container. The sections of the container are connected to each other in the interior so when the container is pulled open, the contents in the interior are released while the sections remain connected, and a message banner attached to and extending between the sections is revealed.

A package label is described. The package label comprises a first ply, a second ply, and a first edge. The second ply comprises a pull tab comprising a first boundary adjacent the first edge, a second boundary opposing the first boundary, and a first adhesive deadener area. The second ply also comprises a first line of weakness adjacent the second boundary and positioned apart from the first adhesive deadener area. The first line of weakness is linear. The second ply further comprises a first stopping feature adjacent a first end of the first line of weakness and a second stopping feature adjacent a second end of the first line of weakness. Various embodiments of the package label are also described.
