SWEEP BEAD DISPENSER
A single-bead dispenser including a container for holding plural beads in a spherical chamber, a wiper disposed within and rotatable about a horizontal axis of the chamber to sweep the inner wall of the chamber and transport a single contained bead upwardly from the chamber to an opening for discharge to a manually accessible platform on the container while leaving all the other contained beads in the chamber, a geared ring mounted externally of the container and manually rotatable about a vertical axis of the chamber, and a gear secured to the wiper and engaged and driven by the geared ring for effecting sweeping rotation of the wiper when the ring is turned. The wiper may be a lune of a hollow sphere close to and concentric with the chamber inner wall and may bear a dispensing scoop shaped to capture and convey a single bead to the opening.
PACKAGES WITH MONITORING DEVICES
A package includes an outer sleeve with a slide card slidingly received in the outer sleeve. A monitoring device is operatively connected to the package to generate data indicative of use of the package. A switch is electrically connected to the monitoring device for activating and deactivating the monitoring device. The at least part of the switch is secured to the slide card such that the switch is operated to activate or deactivate the monitoring device by at least one of translating movement of the slide card relative to the outer sleeve or transforming movement of the slide card. Another exemplary package includes an outer sleeve with a slide card slidingly received in the outer sleeve. A monitoring device is detachably attached to the slide card to generate data indicative of use of the package.
Latchable package
A latchable package comprises: a support for supporting one or more items; a structure for selectively blocking access to the one or more items; and a latchable insert. The latchable insert comprises a substantially planar tab member that is coupled to the support such that the insert and support are movable together in an opening direction from a first position in which the structure blocks access to the one or more items to a second position in which the one or more items are accessibly clear of the structure. The structure and the latchable insert comprise co-operating latch features configured to engage when the insert and support are arranged in the first position.
DRUG DISPENSING DEVICE
The invention relates to a device for dispensing a plurality of drugs, the device comprising: for each drug dose (25) of the plurality of drugs, a drawer (30) configured to accommodate a single dose of any of the drugs of the plurality of drugs; a storage unit comprising cases (40), each case comprising at least one passage for holding drawers and, in each passage, drawers next to one another comprising all of the identical drug doses; a unit (60) for preparing pillboxes (50) that is configured to pull drawers out from the cases of the storage unit and place the pulled-out drawers in a pillbox associated with a patient's identifier, the pillbox comprising a passage for holding the drawers that have been placed therein.
Slide card for selective insertion and withdrawal from a sleeve
The slide card includes a base panel and a locking panel. The base panel includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion has at least one first embossment integrally formed therewith and projecting therefrom. The locking panel is integrally formed with the base panel. The locking panel is hingedly connected directly to one of the end edges of the base panel along a hinge. The locking panel is folded about the hinge to take a folded position where the locking panel is disposed over the first portion of the base panel. The locking panel has at least one second embossment integrally formed therewith and projecting therefrom. The at least one the first embossment and the at least one second embossment are disposed next to each other with the hinge disposed therebetween.
Pill container assembly with outer sleeve
The present disclosure relates to a container assembly including a multi-chamber container that fits within a protective outer sleeve. The container includes covers for allowing the chambers to be individually accessed. The container includes an integrated retention arrangement that allows the container to be secured within the outer sleeve in a manner in which unintended longitudinal movement between the outer sleeve and the container is prevented.
