An evasive cut portion is formed at a portion of the tubular portion that faces the lid of the cover portion in the first direction, the evasive cut portion being a cut that is cut into from an end of the tubular portion in the second direction.

A securing device includes a base and a sheet placed on the base. The sheet includes a hole. A securing support is disposed opposite the hole of the sheet. A coupler secures the sheet to the base through the securing support. The securing support includes a contact face that contacts the coupler. The contact face includes a notch through which the securing support is removed from the coupler to separate the base from the sheet without removing the coupler.

There is provided a method of manufacturing a protective packaging structure comprising the steps of providing a moulded structure comprising an attachment surface, the moulded structure including a recessed portion defining a shock absorbing region, applying the moulded structure to a packaging substrate using the attachment surface, and configuring the substrate to form the protective packaging structure. A protective packaging comprising a moulded structure based on paper plate technology is also disclosed.

A packing member attached to an article to be packed, which is accommodated in a package box, to absorb an impact applied to the article, including: a first supporting part; a second supporting part; and a shock absorbing member connected to the first supporting part and the second supporting part. One of the first supporting part and the second supporting part is disposed so as to be partially in contact with the article in a state in which an impact is not applied. When an impact is applied, the shock absorbing member deforms to absorb the impact.
