Systems and methods for packaging and transporting bulk materials
A flexible container includes a container body and a flexible cover. The container body defines an interior volume and includes a side wall that defines an opening. The opening is configured to receive a bulk material therethrough such that the bulk material can be disposed within an interior volume of the container body. The flexible cover can be coupled to the side wall about the opening. The cover is configured to fluidically isolate the interior volume from a volume substantially outside of the flexible container.
Packaging
Atmosphere control members (ACMs) are used in various ways. In one aspect, at least one of the atmospheres in contact with the ACM is caused to flow over the surface of the ACM. In another aspect, the ACM is an internal ACM which does not form part of the exterior surface of a container. In another aspect, the ACM forms part of a reusable module. In another aspect, a plurality of sealed containers, each including an ACM, are stored in an outer container also including an ACM. FIGS. 3-5 illustrate a shipping container 11 comprising an internal ACM having one surface which is exposed to the packaging atmosphere within the shipping container and an opposite surface which is part of a closed chamber 2 to which gases can be supplied in a controlled fashion.
AERATED FLOOR SYSTEM FOR GRAIN BINS
In one or more arrangements, an aerated floor system for grain bins is presented. The system includes a plurality of planks positioned above one or more airflow passageways. The plurality of planks have a plurality of perforations to facilitate the flow of air through the planks. The system includes one or more filters positioned below the plurality of planks to catch flour, dust, and/or debris that fall through the plurality of perforations of the plurality of planks while permitting air to be moved upward through the one or more filters and the plurality of planks. In this manner, the build-up of flour, dust, and/or debris in the one or more airflow passageways is reduced.
Compartment air-conditioning apparatus, refrigeration apparatus, and transport container
An inside air control apparatus includes a composition adjuster. Outside air flowing in a first inflow path and inside air flowing in a second inflow path flow into the composition adjuster as the air to be treated. The composition adjuster separates the air to be treated into first air and second air. The first air flows into a first outflow path. The second air flows into a second outflow path. An outlet switching mechanism changes the destinations of the first air and the second air.
