Locking apparatus for a refuse container lid
A locking apparatus for use in securing a pivotably mounted lid of a refuse container includes a clamp assembly rotatably mounted to the container's handle and having a fork member, an arm coupled to the clamp assembly and in contact with the lid, a ring slidably mounted to the arm and clamp assembly, a mounting bracket coupled to the container's handle and connected to the clamp assembly by at least one spring, the mounting bracket having a base plate and an upper portion of the mounting bracket having at least one bumper, a rod fastener coupled to the base plate and fork member, and a rod member slidably mounted to the rod fastener. The rod member adjusts to permit the clamp assembly and arm to rotate such that the bumper releases the ring from the arm and clamp assembly upon contact, thereby enabling the container's lid to open.
ANIMAL RESISTANT DUMPSTER
An animal resistant dumpster is described. Embodiments of the animal resistant dumpster include a lid rotatably coupled to a refuse container. The lid can be locked in a closed position by a pair of rotatable hooks. To open the lid, and empty the refuse container, the rotatable hooks can be disengaged by rotating the dumpster past parallel allowing the hooks to rotate due to gravity. The lid can include a pair of slidable doors to dispose of refuse into the refuse container.
Spill Proof Substance Disposal System
The Spill Proof Substance Disposal System (95) allows for the storage and removal of liquid (e.g. oils) and semi-liquid substances (e.g. greases) (“stored substances””) being transported in a transfer vessel (90). The Spill Proof Substance Disposal System (95) is vandal and theft proof. The Spill Proof Substance Disposal System (95) provides for a quick and efficient way to store and to remove the stored substances. The Spill Proof Substance Disposal System (95) comprises a container (100), a cradle (200), a hinge (300), and a screen (400). The Spill Proof Substance Disposal System (95) may additionally include a cover (500). The Spill Proof Substance Disposal System (95) may additionally include a lock (600). The Spill Proof Substance Disposal System (95) may further comprise a fast substance removal system (700).
DUSTBIN LOCK ASSEMBLY
The invention provides a covered dustbin or covered container. In particular, the invention relates to a lock assembly for dustbins and covered containers. A lower half of the lock is mounted to the inside wall of the dustbin and an underlid half is mounted to the underside of a lid that is hinged to a location adjacent the upper rim of the dustbin. A pair of interlocking engagement members is provided to releasably secure the lid to the dustbin. The lower half and the underlid half each include one interlocking engagement member, such as a hook and a strike. A rocker, when actuated, urges the interlocking engagement members into a disengaged position, for example to disengage the hook from the strike. A user can use a handle provided on the lid to press down the rocker to disengage the lock and lift the lid in a one-hand operation.
Latch
A latch for a container is disclosed. The latch can comprise a body, which can be mounted to a lid of the container. The latch can further comprise a wheel that is rotatable relative to the body. The latch can engage the receptacle of the container. For example, the wheel can protrude under the rim of the receptacle when the lid is in a closed orientation relative to the receptacle. In other instances, the latch can be mounted to the receptacle of the container, and can releasably engage the lid of the container.
Grease container and lid for the same
The invention is generally applicable to a container. More specifically, the invention is applicable to a container for the collection, storage and transport of waste and refuse material, such as food grease generated by restaurants, schools, hospitals, grocery stores, hotels and other institutions that generate waste food grease.
Sharps container with blackout strip
A sharps container includes a container portion and a closeable lid. The sharps container includes any suitable cross-sectional shape having at least one wall. The container portion is fabricated from a light translucent or transparent material, such that any suitable light may be shined through the at least one wall thereof. An upper perimeter of the container portion is treated, such that light will not shine through an upper twenty five percent of the container by volume. An opaque tape, an opaque paint, an opaque printing ink or any other suitable treatment is applied to an upper perimeter of the container portion to prevent light from passing through the container portion. At least one wall of the container is treated.
CONTAINER WITH COVER
A container includes a base, and a jacket adjoining the base and having a peripheral flange which defines an opening cross section which can be closed by a cover. The cover includes first snap-fit hooks distributed about a periphery of the cover for engagement in complementing first latching openings in the peripheral flange to thereby establish a form fit that prevents a movement away from the base and parallel to a vertical axis of the container in perpendicular relation to the base. The peripheral flange has four corner regions, each provided with a second latching opening for engagement of a second snap-fit hook of the cover. The second latching opening has at least one portion configured curved or inclined in relation to both a transverse axis and a longitudinal axis of the container, or has at least two straight portions extending at an inclination in relation to one another.
A DEVICE FOR PLACING AND HOLDING SOILED ITEMS THEREIN
A device (1) for placing and holding soiled items, in particular soiled items such as soiled diapers, therein, comprising a container (2) and a lid (3), wherein the lid (3) includes a hollow cylinder (5), which is open at least at one end (4), in which cylinder (5) a body (6) is capable of reciprocal motion, wherein the lid (3) can pivot relative to the container (2) between a first position, in which an Item can be inserted into the cylinder (5) from outside; and a second position, in which the body (6) can move downward in the cylinder (5) under the influence of the force of gravity so as to push the item into the container (2), and wherein the device (1) is provided with a locking device (12) for locking the lid (3) in the second position.
Collapsible container
A collapsible container has a collar that extends above the top opening and attaches at peripheral edges to a panel by a separable fastener.
