A sharps container includes a container portion and a closeable lid. The sharps container includes any suitable cross-sectional shape having at least one wall. The container portion is fabricated from a light translucent or transparent material, such that any suitable light may be shined through the at least one wall thereof. An upper perimeter of the container portion is treated, such that light will not shine through an upper twenty five percent of the container by volume. An opaque tape, an opaque paint, an opaque printing ink or any other suitable treatment is applied to an upper perimeter of the container portion to prevent light from passing through the container portion. At least one wall of the container is treated.

A container is provided. The container comprises a cover, a base, and a body, which includes one or more spine structures and one or more door panels which may open and allow substantially lateral access to the interior of the container. An automatic, roll-top waste container with a spring-activated lid includes a receptacle, a flexible lid, a sleeve, a retraction mechanism, and a locking mechanism. The receptacle has curved corners that prevent a trash bag from tearing while being loaded and unloaded. The flexible lid is slidably engaged over an opening of the receptacle. In the open position, the retraction mechanism retracts the flexible lid into the sleeve for storage and safe-keeping. To close the receptacle, a user must manually pull the flexible lid out of the sleeve and engage the locking mechanism. The locking mechanism is operatively coupled onto a front wall of the receptacle. In the engaged position, the locking mechanism prevents the flexible lid from retracting into the sleeve. The user can disengage the locking mechanism to allow the flexible lid to retract back into the sleeve.

A roll-out cart includes a container body having a side wall extending upward to a mouth of the container body. A lid is pivotably connected to a rear portion of the container body. The lid is pivotable between an open position and a closed position covering the mouth of the container body. A latch selectively secures a front portion of the lid to a front portion of the container body. The latch includes an outer latch assembly having a first actuator. A guard defines a recess on the front portion of the container body. The first actuator of the latch is within the recess.

A refuse container that includes a container that has an open-top and a skirt around a periphery of the open-top. A lid can be pivotally coupled to the container or the skirt. The refuse container further includes a hook assembly, the hook assembly includes a prolonged bar coupled to the lid using fasteners and an elongated bar. The elongated bar has a substantially L-shape proximal end and a hook shape distal end, wherein the substantially L-shape proximal end swively couples to the prolonged bar such that the elongated bar can extend downwards along by a height of the skirt and the hook shape distal end of the elongated bar can rest against a wall of the container or the elongated bar can rest against a periphery of the skirt, wherein the hook shape distal end hangs under the periphery of the skirt.

A security bin formed from a commercially available rectangular plastic bin having removable lids that are secured to the bin to prevent unauthorized access to the items placed therein. The lids are locked with a tamperproof flap and latching hook to prevent access to the bin contents. Plexiglass windows allow viewing of materials placed within the bin. Spring pins allow ease of lid movement for access to the bin contents, or allow removal of the windows to allow stacking for storage and shipping. An optional scanner can be mounted to one of the lids for recording and tracking of storage media placed within the bin.
