APPARATUS FOR PROCESSING ORGANIC MATTER HAVING LID AND AIR TREATMENT SYSTEM PROMOTING PLEASANT USER EXPERIENCE

Embodiments disclosed herein provide an organic matter processing apparatus and method for the use thereof to convert organic matter into a ground and desiccated product. The organic matter processing apparatus includes a lid assembly that is positioned at the top or head of the processing apparatus and an air treatment system. The lid assembly is operative to open to allow a user to deposit organic matter into the processing apparatus or to remove a removable bucket contained therein. The lid assembly is operative to close and provide an odor containing seal that prevents or substantially mitigates escape of odor. The air treatment system uniformly distributes untreated air through an air treatment chamber to convert the untreated air to treated air, which is exhausted out of the processing apparatus.

SECURABLE RECYCLING RECEPTACLE FOR COMPLIANT DISPOSAL OF REGULATED PRODUCTS
20230382639 · 2023-11-30 ·

The present disclosure relates to securable recycling receptacles. In one example, a securable recycling receptacle includes a housing defining a housing cavity, a lid coupled to the housing by a hinge that is coupled to a first side of the lid, an opening defined in a top surface of the lid, and a locking mechanism coupled to a second side of the lid. A size of the opening is about a size of a regulated recyclable and the size of the opening limits access to the housing cavity. The locking mechanism secures the lid to the housing to prevent opening the lid to access the housing cavity. The securable recycling receptacle is configured for recycling regulated recyclables in compliance with laws or regulations related to disposal of the regulated recyclables.

Rubbish bin lock assembly

A rubbish bin lock assembly includes a rubbish bin that has a lid is hingedly to a top end of the rubbish bin for opening and closing the rubbish bin. A plurality of receivers is each attached to the rubbish bin. A rod is included which has a sequence of bends thereon thereby facilitating the rod to be positioned around the lid. A plurality of engagements is each integrated into the rod and each of the engagements releasably engages a respective one of the receivers when the lid is in a closed position. In this way the lid is inhibited from being opened by animals from opening the lid. Additionally, each of the engagements disengages the respective receiver when the rod is urged into an unlocked position thereby facilitating the lid to be opened.

Sharps container with blackout strip

A sharps container includes a container portion and a closeable lid. The sharps container includes any suitable cross-sectional shape having at least one wall. The container portion is fabricated from a light translucent or transparent material, such that any suitable light may be shined through the at least one wall thereof. An upper perimeter of the container portion is treated, such that light will not shine through an upper twenty five percent of the container by volume. An opaque tape, an opaque paint, an opaque printing ink or any other suitable treatment is applied to an upper perimeter of the container portion to prevent light from passing through the container portion. At least one wall of the container is treated.

Locking device

The present invention generally relates to waste containers and, more particularly, relates to a locking device for waste containers. The locking device is gravity actuated to an opened position on tilting of the container for dumping. The locking device allows the lid of the container, when the container is in an upright position, to be locked to prevent unauthorized access to the container. When the container is tilted from the upright position, e.g. to empty the contents of the container, the locking device is gravity actuated to allow the lid to open.

Locking device

The present invention generally relates to waste containers and, more particularly, relates to a safety locking device for waste containers. The locking device contains a base unit and a pivoting unit pivotally mounted to the base unit. The base unit contains a pinion member, having a cam thereon, non-movably attached to the base member. The pivoting unit includes a lock casing defining a cavity which houses a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism contains a locking member which is pivotally movable between a blocking position to prevent relative movement between the pivoting unit and the base unit, and a release position to permit the relative movement between the pivoting unit and the base unit.

LOCKABLE TRASH CAN
20220250834 · 2022-08-11 ·

Described herein is a lockable trash can equipped with a foot pedal, lid, and an unlock arm. This inventive concept is lockable, reusable, and durable. This inventive concept includes an upper foot pedal to control a locking system and a lower foot pedal to raise and lower the lid. An L-shaped series of connected rods is designed to allow the lockable trash can to be unlocked and opened by transferring energy applied by a user's foot to the foot pedals to the actions of the lid. In a related embodiment, a cable assembly, a latching plate and latching lever are used to simplify the unlocking of the lid by the pedal.

Garbage can retention clip

The invention includes two interconnecting side release buckles configured to releasable connect to each other. A pair of webbing separately secured to one of the opposing ends of one of the side release buckles. Each of the webbing has a distal end with a stitched loop. A pair of D-rings secured within the stitched loops and secured to either the garbage can or lid by an attachment. Fasteners are secured through attachments and secured to the garbage can or lid, such that when the two interconnecting side release buckles are connected the hinged lid is prevented from opening away from the trash can.

Automatic Gravity Enforced Looking Device for a Wheeled Trash Container with Hinged Lid
20220315327 · 2022-10-06 ·

The present disclosure relates to an automatic gravity inforced lid locking device offered for purchase to the general public, self-appliable and removable by hook and strap to the outer surface of a residential plastic wheeled trash container instantanously. Certain unauthorized measures to attach many other types of gravity inforced mechanisms onto commerical owned disposal service containers have proven unfavorable due to the damage on the receptacles when drilled with holes to affix the devices. This can be a costly mistake to the customer indicated by a higher charge on their bill due to alterations of private property. Whereas, the present disclosure is a low profile locking mechanism and is automated public utility company friendly. Other specific examples of locking mechanisms (unless privately owned) for trash containers, do not attempt, at the very least, to address the complicated technique for mounting these devices or the numerical value to the utility waste service company on the destructive result to the rented receptacles. Rather, the present disclosure relates to further improve the means of locking a wheeled trash container lid, wherein the device keeps the lid of said trash container locked by gently holding it firmly closed until either a user manually releases a counterweight that unlockes the mechanism or is unlocked from a locked position as the standing upright container is tilted forward and empied by a curbside commerical disposal truck. Therefore, the spirit of the self-appliable and removable means of the present disclosure verses the alternative descision of other devices to modify waste receptacles by drilling holes into them for attachable means, defines a less destructive solution.

LOCKING MECHANISM FOR CONTAINER

A locking mechanism is disclosed. In one particular embodiment, the locking mechanism may include a hook component configured to be mounted onto an interior surface of a body of a container, a swivel component configured to engage with the hook component when the locking mechanism is locked, and a mount component to which the swivel component is rotatably mounted. The mount component may be configured to be mounted onto an interior surface of a lid of the container. When the container is in an upright position, the locking mechanism may be unlocked by applying an upward force onto the swivel component. When the container is an upside down position, the locking mechanism may unlock automatically.
