An apparatus includes a tank having a body of water, the tank having a submerged plant material zone having plant material submerged within the body of water. The apparatus also includes an irrigated plant material platform, including additional plant material which is separated from the submerged plant material. The apparatus further includes an animal raising zone in fluid communication with at least a portion of the body of water, the animal raising zone separated from the submerged plant material zone by a porous filter. The apparatus includes a tank influent stream for passing water through the plant material zone and subsequently through the animal raising zone. The system includes a recycle loop having a pump disposed within the animal raising zone for pumping a waste product from the animal raising zone to the irrigated plant material platform. The animal raising zone may be a fish raising zone.

AQUARIUM
20190289833 · 2019-09-26 ·

Disclosed is an aquarium that includes a tank, a magnetic induction driving module, a magnetic induction power generation module, and an electric device disposed in the tank. The magnetic induction driving module is disposed outside the tank adjacent to a tank wall of the tank. The magnetic induction power generation module is disposed inside the tank adjacent to the magnetic induction driving module. The magnetic induction driving module is coupled to an external power source. The magnetic induction power generation module includes a magnetic induction generator, which includes a rotor assembly and a power generation induction coil which is wound around an exterior of the rotor assembly and which is coupled to the electric device. When the magnetic induction driving module is powered on, the rotor assembly is operative to rotate relative to the power generation induction coil, enabling the power generation induction coil to generate an induced current to power up the electric device.

Connecting bracket and a frame assembly for constructing an aquarium
10420330 · 2019-09-24 ·

A connecting bracket is disclosed which includes a base having first and second edges aligned at an angle to one another. A first member extends up from the first edge and a second member extends up from the second edge. Each of the first and second members has an end wall. A first tongue projects outward from the end wall of the first member and a second tongue projects outward from the end wall of the second member. The first and second tongues are designed to engage two frame members. Three or more frame members can be joined together in this fashion to form a frame assembly. A pair of frame assemblies can be used to secure at least three sidewalls of a structure to form an aquarium.

SYSTEM FOR FISH TANK CLEANING AND METHOD THEREFOR

A fish tank includes a first water chamber for providing living space for fish; a second water chamber in fluid connection with the first water chamber with a grating therebetween. The openings of the grating are sized to keep the first water chamber and the second water chamber fluidly connected but prevent fish or other aquatic animals from entering the second water chamber. In an embodiment, a one-way valve allows water to flow out of the second water chamber and prevents water from flowing back into the first water chamber. A removable syringe with a plunger, a barrel and an orifice is provided such that when the orifice is connected to the one-way valve means and the plunger is pulled out of the barrel, water in the second water chamber flows into the barrel of the removable syringe through the one-way valve means.

Apparatus and methods for controlling a habitat environment

A system is provided for controlling an aquatic habitat. The system for includes a server, a bridge, and a habitat component. The server includes a database containing information associated with a habitat component. The server also includes a communication interface for transmitting operating data for the habitat component. The bridge has a first communication unit configured to communicate with the server communication interface and transmit the operating data received from the server to the habitat component. The habitat component has a second communication unit for receiving operating data from the bridge.
