Method and apparatus for storing or retrieving items
A method and apparatus are provided for storing and retrieving items to/from a plurality of destinations areas. A storage and retrieval system stores and retrieves items as needed and transfer items from storage locations to transfer locations. A separate picking system conveys the items from the transfer locations to a picking station or an input out station so that the item can be selected.
Unloading arrangement and unloading station, as well as method of unloading an item from a storage container
An automatic storage and retrieval system includes: a delivery vehicle; a storage container carried by the delivery vehicle; and an unloading station for unloading an item from the storage container while it is being carried by the delivery vehicle. The unloading station includes: an unloading device; and a destination conveyor configured to convey the item to a target destination, wherein the unloading device is configured to move the item through a side opening of the storage container to the destination conveyor.
Storage and retrieval system
An automated storage and retrieval system including at least one autonomous transport vehicle, a transfer deck that defines a transport surface for the vehicle, at least one reciprocating lift, a first and second pickface interface station connected to the deck and spaced apart from each other, each station forming a pickface transfer interfacing between the vehicle on the deck and the lift at each station so that a pickface is transferred between the lift and the vehicle at each station, wherein the vehicle is configured to pick a first pickface at the first station, traverse the deck and buffer the first pickface, or at least a portion thereof, at the second station so that the second station has multiple pickfaces buffered on a common support in an order sequence of pickfaces according to a predetermined case out order sequence of mixed case pickfaces.
AUTOMATIC WAREHOUSE FOR STORING LOADING UNITS
An automatic warehouse for storing loading units (C), including a support structure defining a plurality of levels, superimposed on each other, each including a corridor and a. plurality of lanes, which cross the corridor and which communicate with the corridor, along which the loading units (C) are stored. At least one entry/exit area for the loading units (C) is provided for, as well as at least one elevator for transporting the loading units (C) from the height of the entry/exit area up to heights corresponding to each of the levels, and vice versa. The elevator includes a movable platform provided with at least one housing for containing at least one loading unit (C), and means for loading/unloading the loading units on/from the housing. Also provided for are a plurality of vehicles, movable along the corridor and the lanes, for moving the loading units (C) within each of the levels.
Transport Conveyor and Transport Apparatus Equipped with Transport Conveyor
The endless path includes: a first region extending linearly in the transport direction and constituting a transport surface on which the object to be transported is placeable, turn-back regions in which the endless path is turned back downward from respective end portions of the first region in the transport direction; and a second region continuous with the turn-back regions and extending in the transport direction below the first region, and the second region has, between the two support legs in the transport direction, a specific zone that is parallel with the first region and in which a spacing from the first region in an up-down direction is smaller than a smallest turn-back dimension corresponding to twice a smallest bending radius of the endless member.
Method for storing and retrieving objects, and storage system for carrying out the method
A storage system includes a plurality of storage areas for receiving stored goods, the storage areas being situated in at least one storage level and being accessible by an associated handling device to store stored goods at the storage areas or retrieve them from these storage areas. A conveyor is provided which is designed as a continuous conveyor and is led on a storage level through the arrangement of the storage areas.
TRANSPORTING PARCELS ON TRANSPORTATION LINES
In one embodiment, a system is provided. The system includes a set of pallets to hold a set of parcels. The system also includes a conveyor system to move the set of pallets to and from a transportation pod. The system further includes a lift system to lift the set of pallets to different heights within the transportation pod. The system further includes a storage system to store a set of parcels. The system further includes a mechanical arm to move the set of parcels from the storage system to the set of pallets.
Cart loader/unloader and a switcher system
An industrial materials handling system including a base member having a loading end with a first senor that detects when a first carriage or second carriage is positioned in a loading/unloading position at the loading end, and an operator end with a second sensor that detects when the first or second carriage is positioned in the loading/unloading position, a controller coupled to the first sensor and second sensor, the first carriage coupled to the base member and a first drive mechanism controlled by the controller to move the first carriage, the loading end, and the operator end, the second carriage coupled to the base member and to a second drive mechanism configured to move the second carriage between the loading end and the operator end under the control of the controller, and a bypass mechanism to move the second carriage between the loading end and the operator end.
DELIVERY VEHICLE, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MOVING STORAGE CONTAINERS BETWEEN A FIRST CONVEYOR ON THE DELIVERY VEHICLE AND AN EXTERNAL CONVEYOR
A delivery vehicle operates on a two-dimensional rail system with rails extending in a first direction and a second direction. The second direction is perpendicular to the first direction. The delivery vehicle includes a vehicle body; two sets of wheels connected to the vehicle body for engagement with the underlying rail system and for moving the delivery vehicle in the first and second directions; a container carrier for supporting a container from below, wherein the container carrier comprises a first conveyor; a conveyor drive shaft for driving the first conveyor; and at least one drive coupling. The at least one drive coupling includes a connection interface accessible from an outer side portion of the vehicle body. The drive coupling is rotatably connected to a motor drive shaft such that when the motor drive shaft is rotated the drive coupling and the connection interface are rotated.
WAREHOUSE FOR ORDER FULFILMENT WITH A PRODUCT STORAGE AND AT LEAST ONE ORDER FULFILLMENT AREA
A warehouse for order fulfilment with at least one order fulfillment area in which picking stations are arranged and supplied with articles from a product storage for picking orders wherein each picking station is supplied and collected with product containers by a connecting conveyor system and the connecting conveyor system also supplying order containers and being used for discharge of emptied product containers and partial order or finished orders from the respective picking station, where a bypass conveyor is arranged in parallel to the connecting conveyor system such that product and/or order traffic inbound to the picking stations and outbound from the picking stations may be off-loaded from the connecting conveyor system.
