CONVEYOR CONTROL COMPONENT MOUNTING

A conveyor system, control assembly used with the conveyor system, and method of assembling a control assembly to a member made of ferromagnetic material. The control assembly has a control housing that houses at least one control component that is adapted to perform a control function. A support mechanism supports the control housing with the member. The support mechanism includes at least one permanent magnet mounted at a surface of the control housing that is adapted to attract the housing to the ferromagnetic material and a positioning feature. The positioning feature resists movement of the housing with respect to the member. The positioning feature may be adapted to resist movement of said housing with respect to the member in at least one degrees of freedom and perhaps in at least two degrees of freedom.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ACTIVATING CONVEYOR BELT ROLLERS

Apparatus and method for activating conveyor belt roller assemblies by lowering and extending wearstrips to selectively lower the conveyor belt to place the conveyor belt roller assemblies into contact with actuating rollers. A wearstrip module housing the wearstrips includes an upper support upon which the wearstrips are mounted that is longitudinally and vertically movable relative to a lower support fixed relative to the actuating rollers. Mounting brackets rotatably mount the lower support and actuating rollers in a fixed position and orientation.

Zoned accumulation conveyor with electrical actuator and associated method

A belt drive assembly for driving at least one tread roller of a belt-driven live roller conveyor and associated methods are provided that uses an electrically actuated assembly to raise and lower a belt into and out of engagement with tread rollers to selectively transport or accumulate product. The assembly includes a stationary frame having a magnet and a movable frame having an attractant plate, or vice versa. The magnet may be an electromagnet or a solenoid. The movable frame is movable with respect to the stationary frame, such that when an electric current is applied to the magnet, the magnet and the attractant plate are magnetically drawn to each other and cause the movable frame to move towards a respective portion of the stationary frame to place the belt drive assembly in a driving configuration in which at least one tread roller of the conveyor in engaged.
