A Distributed Feedback Laser (DFB) mounted on a Silicon Photonic Integrated Circuit (Si PIC), the DFB having a longitudinal length which extends from a first end of the DFB laser to a second end of the DFB laser, the DFB laser comprising: an epi stack, the epi stack comprising: one or more active material layers; a layer comprising a partial grating, the partial grating extending from the second end of the DFB laser, only partially along the longitudinal length of the DFB laser such that it does not extend to the first end of the DFB laser; a highly reflective medium located at the first end of the DFB laser; and a back facet located at the second end of the DFB laser.

A continuous loop reinforced food grade belt includes a plurality of extruded filaments comprising a meltable synthetic polymer, and at least one matrix material embedding the filaments. The matrix material includes a food grade polymer, and the matrix material and filaments form a length of belt having opposed first and second ends. The first and second ends are melted together to form a continuous loop belt with no filaments exposed to the belt environment.

FALSE TOOTH FOR TOOTHED BELTS, SEMI-FINISHED WORKPIECE, TOOTHED BELT AND METHOD
Two embodiments of a false tooth limit the damage to a toothed belt and of a bearing layer of a base of the toothed belt, which in general comprises cables or textiles. The false tooth comprises a longitudinal bar and a bushing which extends transversally from the longitudinal bar. In the first embodiment the longitudinal bar is tapered towards a free end of the bushing while in the second embodiment the longitudinal bar is profiled, i.e., has a flank for contacting the toothed belt which is convex towards the outside when viewed in transversal section. The false teeth are advantageously applied on toothed belts comprising grooves which cut the teeth, enabling a reduction of the thickness of the tooth during the winding. A method and a semi-finished workpiece are also disclosed.

The present invention concerns an endless conveyor belt for a conveyor device, which conveyor belt comprises a belt body that can be transversely deformed between a flat configuration, at rest, and a tubular configuration. This belt body comprises two transition regions over its width which between them define a central belt portion, as well as two side belt portions situated between each of them and the nearby side edge. At least one thickness of the side belt portions is greater than at least one thickness of the central belt portion, forming at least one over thickness region on each of the side belt portions.
