Direct-drive spiral conveyor
A direct-drive spiral conveyor and a method for operating a spiral conveyor in which a sideflexing conveyor belt is positively driven in a helical path about the periphery of a rotating cylindrical drive drum. Parallel drive members extend in length along the periphery from the top to the bottom of the drive drum. The drive members engage drive faces on the inside edge of the conveyor belt and positively drive the inside edges along the helical path. The helical path is steeper at the entrance end—the bottom in an upgoing spiral, the top in a downgoing spiral—than at the opposite exit end and along a majority of the path.
Spiral conveyor system
A spiral conveyor system may include a drum and a conveyor belt traveling helically about the drum from an entrance end to an exit end of the drum, and a rib associated with the drum, wherein the rib extends radially from a surface of the drum. A length of the rib extends along the length of the drum from a first end of the rib to a terminus of the rib proximate the entrance end of the drum. In addition, a height of the rib above of the surface of the drum varies along the length of the rib. Further, the rib includes at least one drive face, wherein the conveyor belt includes at least one belt surface configured to engage the at least one drive face, and wherein the drum includes a smooth ribless portion between the terminus of the rib and the entrance end of the drum.
Support structure with improved stiffness for an articulated link conveyor
A support and guide structure for a closed-loop articulated link conveyor includes at least two guides, oriented according to respective development axis and defining respective sliding surfaces for the conveyor; and at least one support component having two surfaces opposite to each other, wherein the guides protrude from a first surface to define at least one sliding channel to house at least one portion of the articulated links of the conveyor. The support and guide structure includes at least one housing extending along a direction parallel to the development axis, and containing at least one respective reinforcing element to limit the deformation of the support component. Each reinforcing element has a cross-sectional shape compatible with the cross-sectional shape of the respective housing. Each reinforcing element is manufactured with a material having a hardness which is greater than the hardness of the materials of the guides and the support component.
PLATE CONVEYOR BELT
A plate conveyor for moving walkways contains a track system having tracks, which track system is formed by track elements, and a central track serving as a guide for plate conveyor elements of the plate conveyor. The length of the track system can be adjusted. For this purpose, substantially triangular openings which are delimited by bars are provided between track elements that adjoin one another. Triangular or trapezoidal length adjusting pieces are inserted into the openings and are pushed in to such an extent that the oblique edges of the length adjusting pieces abut the edges of the openings formed by the bars. The central tracks of the track elements that adjoin one another are connected to one another by coupling pieces.
MODULAR LINK CONVEYOR WITH FEATURES FOR ENHANCING THE EFFICIENT CONVEYANCE OF ARTICLES
An apparatus for conveying an object in a conveying direction includes a conveyor comprised of a plurality of modular links adapted for interconnecting to form a chain. At least one of the links comprises a rounded upper portion forming an apical region for contacting and supporting the article for conveyance along at least a forward run in the conveying direction. The at least one link further including a forwardly projecting portion associated with a first transverse connector forming a part of the upper portion and a rearwardly projecting portion associated with a second transverse connector forming part of the upper portion. The first and second connectors may be staggered in the conveying direction and a direction transverse to the conveying direction. Further aspects pertain to a link with an apical engaging structure, and a sprocket with a removable tooth.
DIRECT DRIVE DRUM FOR A MODULAR CONVEYOR BELT
A direct drive drum (100) for a modular conveyor belt (180) comprises a drum rotation axis, a plurality of support elements (110) and a plurality of direct drive elements (120). Each support element (110) has a belt support surface (111) on a side distant and pointing away from the drum rotation axis. Each direct drive element (120) is arranged in circumferential direction (106) of the direct drive drum separate and in a distance from each of the support elements (110). In this way, the tension generated within the modular conveyor belt (180) and between the modular conveyor belt (180) and the direct drive drum (100) in a collapse phase of the modular conveyor belt (180) can be reduced.
Buffer conveyor
A buffer conveyor comprises a drivable endless conveyor belt which successively follows a transport path from an input station to an output station and a return path. A frame includes two parallel transport path frame legs and a U-shaped transport path bridge. The transport path bridge includes a curved bridge portion and parallel bridge legs extending therefrom. Each transport path frame leg is provided with a transport path frame guide for a lateral contact side of the belt in outward direction as seen from the other frame leg. The transport path bridge is shaped such that along the curved bridge portion and respective twisted regions of the bridge legs adjacent to the curved bridge portion the belt has a transverse down-slope towards the inside of the U-shape and such that the lateral contact side (of the belt at said twisted regions is above the respective transport path frame guides.
Conveyor Belt and Device for Locking a Rod to a Link of Such a Conveyor Belt
Provided is a conveyor belt including at least two parallel chains each including a plurality of consecutive links; and a plurality of rods extending between the at least two parallel chains for linking the consecutive links. Each rod extends with each end through the corresponding chain linking two consecutive links to each other. One of the two consecutive links is at least axially locked to the rod to avoid movement of the link relative to the rod. The other of the two consecutive links is rotatably arranged around the respective rod. Also provided is at least one device for providing the lock between a rod and a respective link of the conveyor belt. The device includes a body; an insertion hole in which an end of the rod is inserted along an insertion axis, which insertion hole is arranged in the body and a protrusion arranged to the body and extending from the body parallel to and at a distance of the insertion axis; fixing means for fixing the end of the rod in the hole in at least axial direction and preferably also in rotational direction. The respective link is provided with a locking opening through which the protrusion extends.
Chain conveyor curve
The invention relates to a transport conveyor curve including a multitude of parallel curved tracks, wherein the separate parallel tracks are driven by a conical drive, wherein the contact angle of each of the individual tracks with the conical drive is substantially equal in comparison to the contact angle of the other individual tracks.
