AUTOMATIC CART TRANSPORT SYSTEM
20210147154 · 2021-05-20 · ·

An automatic cart transport system. A track located in a factory working floor provides a trackway for an endless flexible conveyor chain. A plurality of chain units including a first chain portion having vertical rollers and a second chain portion having horizontal rollers are flexibly coupled, and the chain is advanced along the trackway by a drive motor. The chain units support thereabove, but within the track, a coupling plate having therein an aperture for accepting and capturing a chain connection shaft which is detachably connected to a cart. The cart is automatically towed along a defined pathway on the working floor of a factory by the chain, when connected to the coupling plate on the endless flexible conveyor chain.

APPARATUS FOR TRANSPORT AND CONTROLLED DISCHARGE OF PRODUCTS

An apparatus for transport and controlled discharge of product comprises at least a transport unit including an upper surface for a product, a loading station, a discharging station and a drive for transporting the transport unit in a conveying direction. The transport unit comprises a pushing member for pushing a product from the upper surface in transverse direction of the conveying direction at the discharging station, a pushing member guide for guiding the pushing member in the transverse direction between first and second extreme positions for removing a product. A control system selective drives the pushing member along the pushing member guide during movement of the transport unit in the conveying direction. The control system is adapted such that at least at the loading station the pushing member is located at an intermediate position between the first extreme position and the second extreme position.

Weighing system

A weighing system weighs an item within a container on a conveyor. The container is connected to the conveyor via a primary connecting means and a secondary connecting means, each of which include a first section permanently connected to the container, a second section permanently connected to the conveyor, and a third section hingedly connected to both the first section and the second section. The third sections are mutually coupled to each other, and are each rotatable about a first axis substantially parallel to the conveying direction, such that the rotation allows for movement of the container with respect to the conveyor in a vertical direction.

Removable conveyor cartridge assemblies for mobile carrier units

Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed for removable conveyor cartridge assemblies for mobile carrier units. In one embodiment, an example removable assembly for a mobile carrier unit of a sortation system may include a frame, a conveyor belt disposed about the frame, a first sheet metal component coupled to a first side of the frame, the first sheet metal component including a first set of tabs extending from the first sheet metal component, and a tensioning device configured to tension the conveyor belt, the tensioning device having a first screw that engages a first tab of the first set of tabs.

Carrier bellows guards

A bellows guard blocks movement of an item from a surface location of a flat sorter toward an adjacent bellows. The bellows guard may be mounted on a frame of the flat sorter proximate a carrier that receives the item. The bellows guard includes a vertical extension that is higher than the surface location to block movement of the item toward the bellows. The bellows guard may include a base for mounting the bellows guard to the frame and the base may be confined to the frame to enable pivoting moving of the carrier.

TRANSPORT DEVICE

Provided is a transport device that can transport two or more types of articles without necessarily requiring a change of parts. The transport device includes a guide extending in a transport direction of an article, and a holding unit configured to hold the article between the holding unit and the guide and to move in the transport direction. The holding unit includes two or more roller units. In each roller unit, two or more rollers, including a first roller and a second roller with a diameter larger than a diameter of the first roller, are aligned along an axial direction. The holding unit is movable in the axial direction. The holding unit is moved in the axial direction to thereby switch the rollers abutting the article among the two or more rollers.

Modular transfer units, systems, and methods

A modular transfer system with a primary flow system and a diverter system. The primary flow system includes a primary flow belt for conveying an article along a primary flow path from an infeed side of the modular transfer system to a pass-through side of the modular transfer system. The diverter system includes one or more diverter belts for diverting an article from the primary flow path towards a divert side of the modular transfer system. The primary flow belt includes multiple movable components contacting the diverter belt. The movable components can have one or more rotational degrees of freedom.

Destacking conveyor

A destacking conveyor having a conveyor belt with pushers selectively pushing stacked packages transverse to the conveying direction to one side of the conveyor against a vertical wall with a gap between the bottom of the wall and the belt to block the top package of a stack and allow the bottom package to pass through the gap and off the side of the belt to a reject bin. In another version a destacking conveyor uses a force applicator to apply a downward force against the top of a stack to hold the top package while the pushers slide the bottom package from under the top package.
