Systems and methods for tensioning a conveyor in a mining system

A tensioning system for a conveyor element of a conveyor. The tensioning system including a hydraulic apparatus, a locking plate, and a take-up bar. The hydraulic apparatus includes a cylinder having an extendible piston. The take-up bar is coupled to the cylinder and coupled to a shaft of the conveyor. The take-up bar moves the shaft of the conveyor in a forward direction away from the centerline of the conveyor when overcoming a locking force from the locking plate.

Tensioning system and drive positioning on a conveyor assembly

A conveyor assembly includes a frame having an intake end and a discharge end, the intake end and the discharge end defining a material flow direction therebetween. The conveyor assembly also includes a conveyor supported on the frame and configured to move material along the material flow direction. The conveyor assembly also includes a first non-driven idler shaft coupled to the conveyor at the intake end, a drive shaft coupled to the conveyor at the discharge end, and a tensioning system coupled to the drive shaft and configured to move the drive shaft relative to the idler shaft when the tensioning system is activated.

ORGANIC MATERIAL HANDLING SYSTEM

A modular system and method for improving the receiving, processing, storing, and transloading of bulk materials such as organic waste. A system includes at least a receiving module to receive material, a storage module, a discharge module, and a control system. A liquid capture system captures and retains liquid from the organic material. Systems can be adapted with additional modules, such as processing modules and transfer modules, depending on the site and materials to be handled. The storage module has a levelling component for levelling out the organic material stored therein, including a levelling conveyor in a top region, and a removal component for discharging the organic material. A control system interfaces with the modular components and local operators, and provides remote reporting and monitoring.

A method is provided for removing slack in a chain conveyor driven between a first sprocket and a second sprocket, the first sprocket and the second sprocket rotating in a first direction. The method includes: locking the second sprocket to prevent rotation of the second sprocket in a second direction opposite the first direction; operating the first sprocket in the second direction to position a slack portion between the first sprocket and the second sprocket; and removing at least one chain link from the slack portion.

A firewood handling device for firewood pieces comprises a conveyor including one or more rotating, endless chains, wherein the conveyor extends from an input end to an output end. The conveyor chains are provided with carriers which project outwards from the outer sides of the chains and extend across and on a distance from each other in relation to the longitudinal extension of the conveyor such that spaces are formed between the carriers into which firewood pieces can be positioned. The carriers are formed with at least two, not cut through slots or recesses from below as well as from above which overlap each other. The conveyor in its output end is provided with at least two inner guiding members as well as with at least two outer guiding members.
