A sound generator can be easily attached to a spool, and is excellent in sound generation properties while realizing downsizing and weight reduction. A spool of a fishing spinning reel includes a spool body, a thread formed concentrically with an insertion hole, and a sound generator provided separately from the spool body. The sound generator includes an inner peripheral wall in which the thread screwed into a screwed thread is formed concentrically with the insertion hole, an outer peripheral wall disposed at an interval radially outside of the inner peripheral wall and in which a ratchet groove for sound generation is formed concentrically with the insertion hole, and a bottom wall connecting the inner peripheral wall and the outer peripheral wall. A recess surrounded by the inner peripheral wall, the outer peripheral wall, and the bottom wall is provided.

Various embodiments provide a fishing reel having a light-weight, compact and easy-to-assemble magnetic seal mechanism which allows greater freedom in material selection of the rotating member. A fishing reel according to one embodiment comprises a rotating body rotatably supported via a ball bearing and a magnetic seal mechanism for sealing the ball bearing. In one aspect, the magnetic seal mechanism comprises a magnet disposed in parallel with either a magnetic inner or outer ring of the ball bearing, and magnetic fluid disposed between the magnet and said inner or outer ring, magnetic fluid being retained by a magnetic circuit formed therebetween to seal space defined between the magnet and said inner or outer ring.

A removable reel system includes a frame, a removable frame assembly, and a first spool. The first spool affixed to the frame when the removable frame assembly is coupled to the frame via a locking assembly disposed on the removable frame assembly. The first spool is removable from the frame by disengaging the locking assembly to uncouple the removable frame assembly from the frame. A second spool is attachable to the frame by engaging the locking assembly to couple the removable frame assembly to the frame.
