A system and method for protecting a fishing reel is provided. The method may include selecting a fishing reel having a generally round spool with a hub and a flange, selecting a reel edge guard having an elongate outer circumferential surface and an elongate lateral surface attached together in an angular arrangement and formed into a generally circular shape, and attaching the reel edge guard to the fishing reel spool flange with a permanent adhesive such that the reel edge guard outer circumferential surface is disposed around an outer edge of the spool flange and such that the reel edge guard lateral surface is attached to a lateral face of the spool flange.

A fishing reel with a deco trim and a drain includes: a frame; a shaft mounted on the frame; a spool fitted on the shaft to wind a fishing line; a first side cover disposed on a side of the frame; and a second side cover disposed on the opposite side to the first side cover, coupled to the frame, and capable of opening to separate the spool. The fishing reel further includes a mounting portion formed at one or both of the first side and second side covers, a deco trim coupled to the mounting portion, and a drain formed on the first side cover, the second side cover, the deco trim, or the frame to discharge water between the deco trim and the first side cover or the second side cover.

A spinning reel includes a reel body. The real body includes a lid portion having a fitting recess and a groove. An axle bearing member fits into the fitting recess. The fitting recess includes an inner surface that contacts the axle bearing member and a bottom surface that contacts the axle bearing member. The groove is formed on the inner surface.

A fishing reel having a line type marker. The fishing reel includes a frame, a spool fitted on the frame, and a handle fitted on a side of the frame to turn the spool, and further includes a line type marker including: a rotary member coupled to a mounting portion, which is provided at some or all of the frame, the spool, and the handle; a scale indication section on the rotary member; and a scale section around the rotary member.

A fishing reel with a deco trim and a drain includes: a frame; a shaft mounted on the frame; a spool fitted on the shaft to wind a fishing line; a first side cover disposed on a side of the frame; and a second side cover disposed on the opposite side to the first side cover, coupled to the frame, and capable of opening to separate the spool. The fishing reel further includes a mounting portion formed at one or both of the first side and second side covers, a deco trim coupled to the mounting portion, and a drain formed on the first side cover, the second side cover, the deco trim, or the frame to discharge water between the deco trim and the first side cover or the second side cover.

A fishing spinning reel according to the present disclosure has a pinion that is rotationally driven by a rotation operation of a handle rotatably supported on a reel body, a rotor comprising a boss portion that is fixed to the pinion by a fixing structure, and a one-way clutch that is disposed on the pinion and comprises an inner ring, an outer ring, and a holder holding a plurality of rolling members. The fixing structure has a cylindrical member that is a separate member from the inner ring and comprises a first abutting portion covering the boss portion and abutting on the rotor, and a second abutting portion that is located on a radially inner side of the first abutting portion and abuts on a distal end of the inner ring.

A one-way clutch of the present disclosure comprises an inner ring, an outer ring, and a holder comprising a holding portion holding a biasing spring for biasing a plurality of rolling members. The holder comprises a first holder provided with the holding portion, and a second holder attached to the first holder so as to hold the outer ring in an axial direction. The first holder and the second holder are integrated by an engagement fixing portion provided on a radially inner side of an inner circumferential contour of the outer ring.

A fishing reel according to the present disclosure has a one-way clutch that is disposed on a drive shaft and has an inner ring, an outer ring, and a holder holding a plurality of rolling members, and a cylindrical portion that is provided on a reel body and accommodates the one-way clutch. The outer ring is provided with a stopper protruding radially outward, a circumferential wall of the cylindrical portion is provided with a notch portion which penetrates the circumferential wall in a radial direction and in which the stopper is disposed, and an anticorrosion plate comprising a leg portion interposed between the stopper and the notch portion is disposed to overlap the one-way clutch in an axial direction.
