Auger conveyor for removing unwanted contaminants from a granular material
An auger conveyor for transferring, from a first location, a mixed material including granular material and unwanted particulate contaminants, to a second location, the granular material substantially free of the unwanted particulate contaminants, comprising a housing in which there is rotatably supported a conveying member in the form of an auger or screw. A portion of the housing is perforated to provide a tubular screen, and the conveying member includes projecting agitation tabs along a length thereof which is coincident with the perforated portion of the housing, to propel the mixed material in the housing towards the screen so as to urge the unwanted particulate contaminants out of the housing leaving the granular material therein for conveyance to the outlet.
Screw conveyor with lower thrust bearing
A screw conveyor is provided for lifting a sludge from a collection point. The conveyor includes a lower bearing assembly having a post with a thrust bearing attached to the top, which can be inserted in a socket in the shaft component of the screw. The base of the post is attached to a plate, and the plate can be bolted to the intake end of the tube component of the conveyor. The inner bearing assembly and the intake end of the shaft of the screw are contained within the interior of the tube, such that a seal between the shaft and the plate, which serves as an end cap of the tube, is not required. In an alternative embodiment of the invention, the relative positions of the post and socket can be reversed, with the socket attached to the plate to the intake end of the tube, and the post attached to the shaft component of the screw.
METERING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A METERING APPARATUS
The disclosure relates to a metering apparatus for free-flowing material and to a method for operating such a metering apparatus. The metering apparatus has a metering duct having a closed cross section and further has a rotary drive (M). The metering duct is wound in the form of a screw with a vertical longitudinal axis. The free-flowing material is fed to the metering duct. The metering duct is set via the rotary drive (M) in an oscillating rotary motion about its longitudinal axis with individual rotary strokes, wherein, with each rotary stroke, a partial quantity of the free-flowing material falls out of a lower discharge opening of the metering duct.
Feeder device for feeding a powder material
A feeder device for feeding powder, having a barrel feeding channel with a downstream end. The feeding channel including at least one conveying element for conveying the powder material to the downstream end. A rotatable exit element provided at the downstream end of the feeding channel. The rotatable exit element includes an annular portion defining exit openings defined by powder engaging edges. The rotatable exit element is positioned transversally outside the barrel in a proximity of the downstream end of the feeding channel. The feeding channel has a first, inner diameter and the rotatable exit element has a second, outer diameter, where the second, outer diameter is equal to or larger than the first inner diameter.
Screw feeder for a combination weigher
This invention relates to a screw feeder adapted to be used in relation with a combination weigher, where the combination weigher comprises a dispersion unit, and a plurality of trenches surrounding the dispersion unit, where each of the plurality of trenches comprise an infeed end and a releasing end where each of the trenches and have a circular sector like shaped bottom portion, where the dispersion unit is adapted to radially disperse food products into the trenches at their receiving ends, where at each trench the received food product is advanced by said screw feeder towards the releasing end, where said screw feeder is made of a material being softer than the material of the trenches and is designed such that it has a polygon cross sectional shape having three or more edges.
DIVERSION ASSEMBLY
A diversion assembly for use with a feed material. The diversion assembly includes a plurality of movable gate chutes, a first conveyor, and a second conveyor. The plurality of movable gate chutes are each positionable in a retracted position and an extended position. The first conveyor is configured to carry, for each of any of the plurality of movable gate chutes in the retracted position, a first portion of the feed material to a first area. The second conveyor is configured to carry, for each of any of the plurality of movable gate chutes in the extended position, a second portion of the feed material to a second area. The second area is spaced apart from the first area.
Apparatus for Storing Dry Material
A modular, low-profile apparatus for storing dry agricultural products has a horizontal configuration with coaxial aeration tubes and bi-directional distribution and dispensing augers. The apparatus provides access to dry agriculture products for storing, mixing, aerating, loading, unloading and processing.
A feeder device for feeding a powder material
Telescoping rotatable tool
A telescoping rotatable tool includes a first shaft and a second shaft. The first shaft has a first material-engaging element extending from an exterior surface of the first shaft. The second shaft has a second material-engaging element extending from an exterior surface of the second shaft. The second shaft is configured to extend from and retract within an interior space presented by the first shaft. The first shaft includes at least one helical-shaped groove extending along an interior surface of the first shaft. The second shaft includes at least one guide element extending from the exterior surface of the second shaft. The guide element is configured to engage with the groove, such that as the second shaft extends from and retracts within the first shaft, the second shaft is configured to rotate with respect to the first shaft.
