The notification unit is configured to carry out notification regarding the error.

A sound generating mechanism for a spinning reel that generates sound by rotation of a spool relative to a spool shaft includes a first member, a second member, a pin member, a coil spring and a metal holding member. The first member is integrally rotatable with the spool, and has a plurality of concavo-convex portions arranged at intervals in a direction of rotation of the spool. The second member is rotationally fixed with respect to the spool shaft. The pin member is disposed to be capable of contacting the concavo-convex portions. The coil spring is configured to bias the pin member toward the concavo-convex portions. The metal holding member is attached to the second member and holding the coil spring.

A spinning reel includes a handle, a housing, a rotor, a bail arm, a moving member and an abutting member. The bail arm is attached to the rotor and is pivotable between a first posture and a second posture. The moving member is positioned in a first position when the bail arm is in the first posture, moving member positioned in a second position behind the first position when the bail arm is in the second posture, and is rotatable together with the rotor. The abutting member is attached to the housing and abuts the moving member in the second position to move the moving member toward the first position. The returning device returns the bail arm to the first posture from the second posture when the moving member moves toward the first position from the second position.

A spinning reel includes a reel body, a crank mounted to the reel body, a main shaft, a tubular worm, a rotor, a spool unit, a rotary shaft, a slider block, a cam mechanism, and a guiding unit. A spinning reel includes a handle, a housing, a rotor, a bail arm, a moving member and an abutting member. The bail arm is attached to the rotor and is pivotable between a first posture and a second posture. The moving member is positioned in a first position when the bail arm is in the first posture, moving member positioned in a second position behind the first position when the bail arm is in the second posture, and is rotatable together with the rotor. The abutting member is attached to the housing and abuts the moving member in the second position to move the moving member toward the first position. The returning device returns the bail arm to the first posture from the second posture when the moving member moves toward the first position from the second position.

A line stopper for a fishing reel according to the discloser includes a line stopper member that includes a fishing line catching portion and a support shaft portion, and a supporting member that supports the line stopper member and fits in a through hole formed in a main body of the fishing reel. On one of the fishing line catching portion or the supporting member, a protrusion is provided at a left or right side or both the left and right sides of the support shaft portion in a width direction of the supporting member in a plan view where the fishing line catching portion and the supporting member overlap each other.
