SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MAINTAINING THE HEALTH OF CAPTIVE FISH IN A MOBILE ENVIRONMENT
A system for maintaining the health of captive fish in a mobile environment, comprising a live well for containing fish in a fluid medium, a plurality of thermoelectric coolers affixed to the live well, and a live well controller for controlling a direct current applied to the thermoelectric coolers, and a method for maintaining a consistent temperature comprising the steps of setting an initial temperature, applying a current to thermoelectric coolers, reading a new temperature, and adjusting the current based at least in part on the new temperature reading.
HORIZONTAL BAIT TUBE
A system is provided that promotes ram ventilation for aquatic animals stored therein. The system includes a horizontally oriented container that maintains fluid flow in one predominant direction with a first end of the horizontally oriented container receiving a first volume of fluid and a second end expelling a second volume of fluid. The second end is provided at an opposite side of the horizontally oriented container than the first end. A slot is provided that extends along a lengthwise direction of the horizontally oriented container between the first and second ends. The slot is positioned along an upper portion of the horizontally oriented container. For example, if the horizontally oriented container is tube-shaped, the slot is provided at an uppermost point on the circumference of a horizontally oriented tube directly across from a point on the tube that contacts an underlying surface such a transom of the fishing vessel.

Horseshoe crab incubation system
A method for incubating an aquatic species includes introducing fertilized eggs of the aquatic species into a screened incubation container, introducing the screened incubation container into a vessel of an incubation module, circulating clean oxygenated water through the incubation module vessel, transferring successfully fertilized eggs from the incubation module vessel to an upweller of a hatching module, circulating clean oxygenated water through the upweller, transferring larvae that swim out of the upweller into a tray of a larvae holding module, circulating clean oxygenated water through the larvae holding module, transferring larvae that grow into a juvenile growth stage from the larvae holding module to a tray of a juvenile holding module, circulating clean oxygenated water through the juvenile holding module, and releasing juveniles from the juvenile holding module after a predefined growth period or after the juveniles grow to a predetermined size.

Mountable Fishing Baitwell
An apparatus is a mountable fishing baitwell. The apparatus allows a user to easily access live bait and properly sustains live bait. The apparatus includes a support structure, a water reservoir, a mounting base, and an aeration unit. The support structure upholds the water reservoir and houses the aeration unit. The water reservoir contains the water and the live bait. The mounting base secures the apparatus onto the bow rail of a boat. The support structure further includes a structure body, a reservoir bed, and a storage compartment. The water reservoir further includes a receptacle and a hand-permeable cover. The hand-permeable cover detachably attaches about an opening of the receptacle, and thereby prevents the live bait from escaping and allows the receptacle to be refilled. The aeration unit distributes oxygen into the water within the receptacle which better sustains the live bait within the receptacle.

Elevator Baitwell
The present invention comprises a cylindrical baitwell having a circular cross-section with vertical sides attached to a circular bottom producing a water impervious container. Disposed within the cylindrical container is an elevator plate that is perforated to permit the passage of water therethrough but which perforations are too small to allow the passage of any of the live bait. Attached to the perforated elevator plate at two points opposite each other is a handle comprised of two vertical rods and connected at the top with a handle attached to both of those rods. At the top of the container is a lid of s circular configuration with a diameter that matches the diameter of the cylindrical container on which it rests. The lid is perforated by two openings of sufficient diameter to accommodate movement of the vertical rods upward and downward by the use of the handle attached to them. The secular cover also includes a door to open and close which can be used to access the live bait when the elevator plate has been raised to force all of the live bait in the water to nearly the top of the water in the container in which the live bait is immersed. Thus the operator raises the handle with one hand, opens the door with the other hand and reaches into retrieve the live bait after which the handle is released in the secular elevator per perforated plate recedes back to the bottom of the container and the doors closed.
