The dynamic package sortation device includes a track for handling a plurality of packages is provided. At least one conveyor extends away from the track towards at least two shipping containers. The at least one conveyor is extendable and retractable for dispensing the packages into a first shipping container of the at least two shipping containers and a second condition for dispensing the packages into a second shipping container of the at least two shipping containers. A controller is provided for providing an instruction to move the at least one conveyor between the first condition and the second condition based on a trigger.

Transfer device and transfer method

A transfer device, for transferring components at high speed and inspecting the components, includes a first transfer mechanism including a first transfer section including a first transfer surface that moves along a first transfer path connecting a loading position to a delivery position, and a second transfer mechanism including a second transfer section that moves along a second transfer path connecting a receiving position spaced from the delivery position by a first distance to a discharging position. The second transfer section includes a second transfer surface that continuously rotates about a rotation axis along the second transfer path. A moving direction of the first transfer surface at the delivery position intersects a moving direction of the second transfer surface at the receiving position in a plan view of the first transfer surface. The second transfer mechanism includes a generator that generates an attraction force toward the second transfer surface.

BUFFER DEVICE AND METHOD FOR BUFFERING CONTAINERS

A transport system includes a transport vehicle that transports an article, and a transport controller that controls the transport vehicle based on a host transport instruction received from a host controller. The transport controller includes a transport instructor which, in accordance with a host transport instruction, provides the transport vehicle with a transport instruction to transport an article at a pickup point to an unloading point, an overwriting processor which, in accordance with a host cancellation instruction to cancel the host transport instruction received from the host controller, overwrites the transport instruction provided to the transport vehicle with a move instruction which instructs to travel to a predetermined position and not to unload at the predetermined position, and provides the overwritten instruction to the transport vehicle, and a completion reporter which, upon the overwriting processor completing the overwriting, transmits to the host controller a cancellation completion report indicating the completion of the host cancellation instruction.

Buffer conveyor

A buffer conveyor comprises a drivable endless conveyor belt which successively follows a transport path from an input station to an output station and a return path. A frame includes two parallel transport path frame legs and a U-shaped transport path bridge. The transport path bridge includes a curved bridge portion and parallel bridge legs extending therefrom. Each transport path frame leg is provided with a transport path frame guide for a lateral contact side of the belt in outward direction as seen from the other frame leg. The transport path bridge is shaped such that along the curved bridge portion and respective twisted regions of the bridge legs adjacent to the curved bridge portion the belt has a transverse down-slope towards the inside of the U-shape and such that the lateral contact side (of the belt at said twisted regions is above the respective transport path frame guides.
