Sharing of parcel sorter outlets
11219925 · 2022-01-11 · ·

A parcel-sorting facility for sorting parcels (115) comprises a conveyor (110) and receptacles (118) situated at sorting outlets (117) and corresponding to destination addresses of the parcels. Each sorting outlet is shared between a plurality of receptacles, only one of which is in a position (P0) for receiving parcels. A receptacle exchanger device (119) for exchanging receptacles is assigned to each outlet, and is configured for exchanging the receptacle in the receiving position at a given outlet with another of the receptacles sharing the outlet, and the sorting facility anticipates the arrival of a parcel at the outlet by placing the receptacle associated with the destination of this parcel in the receiving position whenever necessary.

Can body manufacturing system

While deterioration in processing efficiency caused by printing devices with slow printing speed is suppressed, facilities necessary to manufacture can bodies are able to be shared. A can body manufacturing system includes: a can body conveyance route, by which can bodies are conveyed, provided to branch halfway and thereafter merge again, the can body conveyance route at least including a first branching conveyance route and a second branching conveyance route; a first printing device performing printing on can bodies conveyed by the first branching conveyance route; and a second printing device performing printing on can bodies conveyed by the second branching conveyance route, the number of can bodies on which printing is performed by the second printing device per unit time being different from the number of can bodies on which printing is performed by the first printing device per unit time.

Item sorting and storage device

An item sorting and storage device includes an input unit, a sorting system, and a storage assembly. The input unit receives a number of items. The sorting system recognizes and sorts the number of items. The storage assembly receives the number of sorted items and records information of the number of sorted items.

VERTICAL SEQUENCER FOR PRODUCT ORDER FULFILLMENT

A product order fulfillment system including a multi-level transport system and a lifting transport system. Each level of the multi-level transport system having a corresponding independent asynchronous level transport system separate and distinct from the asynchronous level transport system corresponding to each other level of the multi-level transport system. Each independent lift axis of the lifting transport system being configured to independently hold at least one case and being communicably coupled to each asynchronous level transport system so as to provide for exchange of the at least one case between each asynchronous level transport system and each independent lift axis. Each independent lift axis is communicably coupled to each other independent lift axis of the more than one lift axis and forms a common output of mixed cases so as to create an ordered sequence of mixed cases in accordance to a predetermined case out ordered sequence.

LINEAR SORTER HAVING VARIABLY RUNNING CROSS-BELT SUPPORTS

A linear sorter sorts piece goods. The linear sorter contains a closed circulation of tracks having a plurality of cross-belt elements, in which the piece goods are transported on an upper run on the cross-belt elements and are sorted by unloading to corresponding destination points, and the cross-belt elements return on a lower run. The cross-belt elements are driven by linear motors. In order to simplify the maintenance and to have to keep fewer cross-belt elements available as replacement components, the linear motors for the cross-belt elements are controlled such that, as the cross-belt elements return on the lower run, the speed of the cross-belt elements is higher than the speed of the cross-belt elements while travelling on the upper run.
