AUTOMATED WORKPIECE INVERSION SYSTEMS AND RELATED METHODS
A method of inverting workpieces in a mass production process includes: advancing an end effector in electronic synchronization with advancement of a carrier to synchronize arrival of the carrier at a stop position with arrival of the end effector at an unloading position, in which the end effector is in alignment with a workpiece held by the carrier for engaging the workpiece; while the end effector is in engagement with the workpiece, retracting the end effector away from the carrier to unload the workpiece from the carrier and advancing the end effector back toward the carrier to load the workpiece back into the carrier; and rotating the end effector relative to the carrier to invert the workpiece in electronic synchronization with the retracting and advancing of the end effector for loading the workpiece back into the carrier when inverted.
Packaging equipment and systems
A packaging system includes a first transfer station to receive a plurality of products thereon, a staging station comprising a track and a plurality of shuttle members configured to move along a path defined by the track, and a second transfer station comprising a robotic arm coupled to a plurality of gripping members. The plurality of gripping members can be configured to pick up the plurality of products from one or more of the plurality of shuttle members.
Automated bag gripping device
A robotically-operated gripping device is provided and includes a frame assembly, a vacuum device, a clamping device, and a robotic arm. The vacuum device is connected to the frame assembly and configured to selectively attach to and position at least a portion of an object. The clamping device is connected to the frame assembly and provided for selectively clamping the object attached to the vacuum device. The robotic arm is connected to the frame assembly and provided for selectively positioning the vacuum device and the gripping device.
CONVEYOR DEVICE FOR CONVEYING FLEXIBLE CONTAINERS ALONG A PACKAGING LINE
The conveyor device for conveying flexible containers along a packaging line comprises a track (1) defining a horizontal closed path and one or more pairs of left and right movers (2a, 2b) movably mounted on the track (1) for moving along the path by the effect of active and reactive elements configured for independently driving and controlling the left and right movers along the path, pairs of left and right gripper arms (3a, 3b) pivotally connected to the left and right movers (2a, 2b) by respective left and right articulations (6a, 6b) about vertical axes, and one or more pairs of left and right clamps (4a, 4b) respectively mounted on the left and right gripper arms (3a, 3b) and configured for gripping one or more flexible containers (5) in a vertical position. The left and right gripper arms (3a, 3b) are linked together by a parallelism-keeping mechanism.
Method and apparatus for part transfer and transport in an assembly line
A system for part transfer and transport, the system including: a first conveyor system for transporting a plurality of trays containing a two-dimensional grid of parts; a second conveyor system for transporting the parts to a predetermined destination in a linear arrangement; and a selection apparatus for transferring a linear array of parts selected from the grid of the first conveyor system to the linear arrangement of the second conveyor system, the selection apparatus comprising: a pick and place apparatus which may be cam driven for moving the parts; and a feed screw defining a plurality of singulated part spaces separated by a part pitch along the second conveyor to facilitate insertion of the linear array of parts into the linear arrangement.
ARTICLE GRIPPING SYSTEM
To provide an article gripping system that reduces the installation area of the apparatus and further shortens the amount of time from when it grips to when it feeds articles. An article gripping system (110) switches between a first positional relationship in which a container (50) obstructs discharge of articles gripped by a first gripping unit (15A) but does not obstruct discharge of articles by a second gripping unit (15B) and a second positional relationship in which the container (50) obstructs discharge of articles gripped by the second gripping unit (15B) but does not obstruct discharge of articles gripped by the first gripping unit (15A), so the gripping units do not move while they are holding the articles, and the articles can be prevented from falling out of the gripping units (15).
HETEROGENEOUS MATERIAL SORTING
Heterogenous material sorting is disclosed, including: identifying a first target object associated with a first object type on a surface based at least in part on a first sensed signal; providing a first control signal to a first sorting device to cause the first sorting device to remove the first target object from the surface, wherein the first sorting device is configured to manipulate objects associated with the first object type; identifying a second target object associated with a second object type on the surface based at least in part on a second sensed signal; and providing a second control signal to a second sorting device to cause the second sorting device to remove the second target object from the surface, wherein the second sorting device is configured to manipulate objects associated with the second object type.
ARTICLE DISCHARGE SYSTEM
An article discharge system includes a placement unit in which the article group is placed, plural grippers, a movable member, a robot that moves the movable member, weight acquisition units, and a control unit. The plural grippers grip some articles with gripping member. The plural grippers are attached to the movable member. The weight acquisition units acquire weight values of the articles that each of the grippers grips. The control unit moves the movable member, brings the plural grippers closer to the placement unit, causes the plural grippers to grip some of the articles of the article group placed in the placement unit, and, based on the result of a combination calculation using the weight values of the articles that each of the grippers grips and which the weight acquisition units have acquired, causes predetermined grippers among the plural grippers to release the articles and thereby discharge the articles.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION SYSTEM FOR CONNECTING A PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD TO A PLUG CONNECTOR BY WAY OF AN ELECTICAL CONNECTION DEVICE
An electrical connection device for connecting a plug, preferably a HV pin header, to a printed circuit board in a motor vehicle, having the following: at least one first electrical connection-device for contacting at least one assigned plug-connector contact; at least one second electrical connection-device contact for contacting at least one assigned printed-circuit-board contact wherein at least one first connection-device contact at least one second connection-device contact are connected to one another, wherein the electrical connection device is configured in such a manner that at least one printed-circuit-board contact is able to be selectively connected to assigned plug-connector contacts which differ in terms of the relative disposal thereof in relation to the printed-circuit-board contact and/or differ from one another in that said plug-connector contacts are a component part of plug connectors which differ from one another in terms of the configuration of the respective plug-connector contacts thereof.
End effector with compression wedge
An end effector for use in the packaging industry has compression wedges that bookend subgroups of carrier assemblies on the end effector. The compression wedges are attached to the frame of the end effector via wedge blocks, which may be fixed to the frame or slidingly engaged with the frame.
