Pickup unit with a windrow conditioning roll for an agricultural baler
A pickup unit for an agricultural baler. The pickup unit includes a frame; a pickup roll carried by the frame; and a windrow conditioning roll carried by the frame and positioned in front of the pickup roll when in an operating position. The windrow conditioning roll includes a center core and a pair of counter-rotating flightings surrounding the center core. The counter-rotating flightings are connected together in a manner such that wrapping of crop material around the windrow conditioning roll is inhibited.

RAPID PRETREATMENT
Disclosed herein are methods, systems, and compositions for the pretreatment of biomass within seconds with low inhibitor formation. The pretreatment process is used to convert biomass to a fuel or other useful chemicals by subjecting the feedstock to a rapid retention time under pressure and temperature and/or chemical reactant. The system includes a continuously-operating valve discharge apparatus to discharge pretreated feedstock while maintaining uniform pressure on the pretreatment system.

CONVEYING DEVICES FOR BULK MATERIAL, SYSTEM COMPRISING A CONVEYING DEVICE OF THIS TYPE AND METHOD FOR CLEANING A CONVEYING DEVICE
A dispensing device for bulk material, a system comprising a dispensing device and a method for cleaning a dispensing device are provided. The conveying device for bulk material includes at least one pick-up unit for picking up bulk material to be dispensed. At least one discharge area is downstream of the pick-up unit in a main conveying direction and/or into which bulk material can be relocated from the pick-up unit, in particular, via a bulk material outlet opening of the pick-up unit. A discharge element is provided within the discharge area for discharging the bulk material from the discharge area in a direction of a discharge opening of the device. At least one nozzle is provided for blowing fluid into an area existing around the discharge element.
Methods and systems to control percent solids in conveyance pipe
The present disclosure relates to methods and system for conveying a slurry which include a mixing tub configured to mix a solid and a liquid to form the slurry, a pump operable to pump the slurry through the conveyance line a distance to the placement site, and a control system operable to adjust a percent of solids of the slurry within the mixing tub based on at least one of a target pump rate or the distance to the placement site.
