<Problem> It is an object of the present invention to provide a timing hopper that inhibits the occurrence of the problem that articles end up getting stuck inside the timing hopper and are not normally discharged. <Solution> A timing hopper 9 includes a first member 91, a second member 92, and a gate 9a. The first member 91 has a first opening 91a to which articles A are input. The second member 92 has a second opening 92a from which the articles A are discharged. The gate 9a opens and closes the second opening 92a. The first member 91 has a first side wall 91b and a second side wall 91c. The second side wall 91c opposes the first side wall 91b. The second member 92 has a third side wall 92b and a fourth side wall 92c. The third side wall 92b is continuously connected to the first side wall 91b. The fourth side wall 92c opposes the third side wall 92b and is continuously connected to the second side wall 91c. The height position where the first side wall 91b and the third side wall 92b are interconnected is different from the height position where the second side wall 91c and the fourth side wall 92c are interconnected.

BULK CONTAINER DISCHARGE STATION AND RELATED METHODS
20210387762 · 2021-12-16 ·

The disclosure provides a bulk container discharge apparatus and related methods. An illustrative, non-limiting example of such an apparatus includes a base portion, a platform disposed on the base portion, the platform being configured to support a bulk container, and at least one articulating arm. The at least one articulating arm can have a first portion that is pivotally coupled to the base portion at a first pivot. The at least one articulating arm can be configured to lift a bulk container along a loading path (such as but not limited to an arcuate path) that is at least partially vertical from a lower position to an upper position to place the bulk container over the platform when in the articulating arm is in the upper position to facilitate discharging the contents of the bulk container.

Container bulk material delivery system

In accordance with presently disclosed embodiments, systems and methods for using one or more pre-filled, portable containers, instead of pneumatic transfer, to move bulk material from a transportation unit to a blender receptacle of a blender are provided. A transportation unit may deliver one or more containers of bulk material to the well site, where the containers may be disposed in an elevated position around the blender receptacle. A gravity feed outlet may extend from one or more containers to route bulk material from the one or more containers directly into the blender receptacle. Since the transportation unit is able to unload the portable containers of bulk material without pneumatic transfer, the stackable containers may enable a cleaner and more efficient bulk material transfer at the site.
