The present technology provides a cargo adapter that can be inserted into a passenger compartment of a mixed-use vehicle that can be anchored to existing anchor points in the vehicle. The cargo adapter can then receive, secure, and support a cargo locker in a way that safely secures the cargo and avoids wear on the interior surfaces of the passenger compartment. The present technology further provides a system for transporting a cargo locker to a vehicle and inserting the cargo adapter and cargo locker into the vehicle quickly and easily.

In the method of the present invention, first and second motorized endless belt conveyor assemblies are provided, one for placement in a package distribution center and the other for placement in the box of a delivery truck or van. Personnel at the distribution center load the conveyor of the first conveyor assembly with packages in a predetermined order corresponding to stops on a route. Subsequently, a delivery driver will back his vehicle up to the first conveyor assembly and activate the motorized conveyors of the two conveyor assemblies such that products on the first conveyor assembly will be transferred onto the conveyor assembly located in the vehicle in the stated predetermined order.

A trailer configured to transport a load including a lower surface and a pin socket includes a bed including an upper surface configured to support the load, a first rotation pin extending above the upper surface of the bed, and a winch assembly coupled to a first lateral side of the trailer. The winch assembly includes a first winch and a boom, wherein the boom is configured to extend outward from the first lateral side of the trailer, and the first winch is configured to be connected to the load and to rotate the load about the first rotation pin. When the load is positioned on the bed, a distance from the lower surface of the load to an upper surface of the pin socket is greater than a distance from the lower surface of the load to an upper surface of the rotation pin.

A trailer configured to transport a load including a lower surface and a pin socket includes a bed including an upper surface configured to support the load, a first rotation pin extending above the upper surface of the bed, and a winch assembly coupled to a first lateral side of the trailer. The winch assembly includes a first winch and a boom, wherein the boom is configured to extend outward from the first lateral side of the trailer, and the first winch is configured to be connected to the load and to rotate the load about the first rotation pin. When the load is positioned on the bed, a distance from the lower surface of the load to an upper surface of the pin socket is greater than a distance from the lower surface of the load to an upper surface of the rotation pin.

A floor assembly of a modular home includes a frame including a plurality of floor joists, at least one upper plate coupled to a top of the frame, a skid plate coupled to a bottom of the frame, the skid plate including a circular opening, and a pin socket including a cylindrical pipe section positioned around the circular opening. The pin socket is configured to receive a rotation pin and configured to cause the rotation of the floor assembly about the rotation pin when a force is applied to the floor assembly.

Systems and methods of distributing freight between freight containers are provided. In one aspect, the method includes receiving loading/unloading openings of three freight containers at three openings in a moveable cross-dock having a plurality of surface road wheels, a body defining an interior storage area, and at least three openings in the body through which freight may be moved into and out of the interior storage area. Freight is redistributed between the first freight container, the second freight container, and the third freight container via the at least three openings in the body of the moveable cross-dock.

Systems and methods of distributing freight between freight containers are provided. In one aspect, the method includes receiving loading/unloading openings of three freight containers at three openings in a moveable cross-dock having a plurality of surface road wheels, a body defining an interior storage area, and at least three openings in the body through which freight may be moved into and out of the interior storage area. Freight is redistributed between the first freight container, the second freight container, and the third freight container via the at least three openings in the body of the moveable cross-dock.

A storage pod for use with a delivery vehicle is provided. The storage pod is configured to store packages and to dispense them when sufficiently close to a delivery location. Methods of delivering packages using a storage pod are provided.

A control device according to the present disclosure is used in a delivery system having an automatic movement device that automatically moves an article inside a specific space and delivering the article. The control device includes a storage section configured to store schedule information including at least one of change information including a change region in which a movable region of the automatic movement device is changed in the specific space and a change time at which the region is changed, and operation information including an operation time at which the automatic movement device starts operating; and a processing control section configured to perform processing of preparing a new usage map by adding a change to a reference map of the specific space, based on the schedule information.
