A fishing reel having a line type marker. The fishing reel includes a frame, a spool fitted on the frame, and a handle fitted on a side of the frame to turn the spool, and further includes a line type marker including: a rotary member coupled to a mounting portion, which is provided at some or all of the frame, the spool, and the handle; a scale indication section on the rotary member; and a scale section around the rotary member.

A fishing rod assembly includes a rod and a reel assembly. The reel assembly includes a housing and a spool positioned within the housing and configured to (a) rotate about an axis to retrieve or let out a fishing line and (b) translate along the axis to adjust a drag, the spool including an inner volume. The reel assembly further includes a spindle disposed within the inner volume of the spool and having a first end and a second end, the first end of the spindle engaged with the spool, a drive mechanism configured to receive an input torque from a user and provide an output torque to the spool, and a lever assembly configured to receive a user input and translate the spool along the axis towards a second end of the reel to adjust the drag.

A fishing reel with a deco trim and a drain includes: a frame; a shaft mounted on the frame; a spool fitted on the shaft to wind a fishing line; a first side cover disposed on a side of the frame; and a second side cover disposed on the opposite side to the first side cover, coupled to the frame, and capable of opening to separate the spool. The fishing reel further includes a mounting portion formed at one or both of the first side and second side covers, a deco trim coupled to the mounting portion, and a drain formed on the first side cover, the second side cover, the deco trim, or the frame to discharge water between the deco trim and the first side cover or the second side cover.

One object is to provide a double bearing reel that allows a fingertip gripping the reel body to be retained well in reeling out and in a fishing line thereby to provide better grip retention of the reel body. A double bearing reel according to the present invention includes a reel body having left and right side plates. A concave finger retainer is provided in an edge of at least one of outer circumferential surfaces of the left and right side plates to retain a thick of a fingertip of a hand gripping and holding the reel body.

A fishing rod assembly includes a rod and a reel assembly. The reel assembly includes a housing, a spool positioned within the housing, the spool configured to rotate about an axis to retrieve or let out a fishing line, a drive mechanism concentric with the axis, the drive mechanism configured to receive rotational kinetic energy from a user and drive the spool to take-up fishing line when a counter-torque provided to the spool by the fishing line is less than a target torque, and a drag mechanism. The drag mechanism is drivable by the drive mechanism to (a) drive the spool to take-up the fishing line when the counter-torque provided to the spool by the fishing line is less than the target torque or (b) provide a drag force to the spool when the counter-torque provided to the spool by the fishing line is less than the target torque.

A fishing reel that is easy to switch with one hand, comprising a fishing reel frame; a fishing reel line spool, which is rotatably connected to the fishing reel frame for retrieving and releasing the fishing line; a fishing reel handle, which is located on the side where the fishing reel line spool is located; a transmission component, which is provided between the fishing reel handle and the fishing reel line spool; a clutch component, which acts on the transmission component. The clutch component comprises a clutch lever, which extends at least partially out of the fishing reel frame and is located on the side of the fishing reel frame away from the fishing reel handle.

Provided is a fishing reel having a front cover protecting a level wind, wherein the front cover is separately formed of a high strength lightweight metal material such as aluminum to protect the level wind more safe and the front cover is easily assembled with various designs to improve the exterior design, and the front cover allows a user to decorate and use the fishing reel on the basis of the user's preference. The fishing reel including the metal front cover includes a frame including side walls on opposite sides thereof and forming a spool mounting part and a level wind mounting part, and the front cover coupled to both front ends of the side walls on the opposite sides to protect a level wind, and made of a metal material and including a coupling part bent toward the frame and coupled to each of the side walls.

The present invention provides a brake for a bait casting reel with square column magnets, which includes: a spool installed between both sides of a left-right frame; a double ring-shaped magnet brake ring coupled to one end of a spool shaft; a magnet housing coupled to the magnet brake ring; a plurality of square column magnets mounted in a circumferential direction between the magnet brake ring and the magnet housing; a spool cover in which the magnet housing is accommodated; a first control dial slider configured to move the plurality of square column magnets forward or backward within the spool cover; a second control dial slider engaged with the first control dial slider to move it forward or backward; and a control dial which is gear-coupled with the second control dial slider to drive it upon rotation.

A fishing rod assembly includes a rod and a reel assembly. The reel assembly includes a housing, a spool positioned within the housing, the spool configured to rotate about an axis to retrieve or let out a fishing line, a drive mechanism concentric with the axis, the drive mechanism configured to receive rotational kinetic energy from a user and drive the spool to take-up fishing line when a counter-torque provided to the spool by the fishing line is less than a target torque, and a drag mechanism. The drag mechanism is drivable by the drive mechanism to (a) drive the spool to take-up the fishing line when the counter-torque provided to the spool by the fishing line is less than the target torque or (b) provide a drag force to the spool when the counter-torque provided to the spool by the fishing line is less than the target torque.

An electric fishing reel comprises a reel main body that comprises a left frame and a right frame and side plates covering the left and right frames, an operating part that is provided on a side of the left frame or a side of the right frame and is rotatable, a handle shaft of the operating part, a drive gear that comprises a cylindrical portion and a tooth surface and is rotatably frictionally coupled to the handle shaft, and a drag washer that is non-rotatably fitted to the handle shaft and is provided at an end of the drive gear on a side in a direction of the handle shaft, in which a protruding portion protruding in a direction of the drive gear from an inside of the side plate covering the left frame or the right frame is provided, and an end of the protruding portion is formed to be separated by a distance equal to or less than 3.0 mm with respect to an upper surface of the drive gear as viewed in the direction of the handle shaft.
