Momentum arresting ramp
11760585 · 2023-09-19 · ·

A momentum arresting ramp that includes a plurality of steps that each includes a slider receiving surface and a transition surface. The steps may enable a device with wheels to be moved down the ramp by a user, without inconvenient gravity building momentum of the device down the ramp. For example, the steps may be spaced apart along a first axis such that a first slider of the device is never in contact with one of the transition surfaces when a second slider of the device is in contact with another one of the transition surfaces. The configuration of the steps and the sliders may enable the device (e.g., a device heavy enough to typically require two users to unload using a planar ramp) to be easily and conveniently unloaded by a single user.

Actuated head pad for loading dock

A head pad assembly includes a plurality of head pad subassemblies pivotably joined along their lateral edge so as to allow vertical rotation of one subassembly relative to an adjoining subassembly when the head pad is actuated. At least one head pad subassembly includes a stiff upper backing portion and a lower compressible pad. The head pad assembly further includes one or more flexible hinges coupling the plurality of head pad subassemblies along their lateral edges to effect the vertical rotation. The head pad assembly further includes an actuator assembly configured to raise and lower the plurality of head pad subassemblies between an upper position and a lower, sealing position.

SEAL APPARATUS FOR DOCK LEVELERS

Seal apparatus for dock levelers are disclosed. An example seal apparatus includes a compressible core defining a cavity, a cover to engage at portion of an outer surface of the compressible core, and a mounting bracket, the compressible core and the cover to couple to the mounting bracket.

DOCK LEVELER

A dock leveler that fits within the pit of a loading dock. The dock leveler may have a rear leg bracket including a plurality of legs. The legs may be couplable to a bottom surface of the leg bracket and to a rear wall of the pit and may have a bottom portion attached to the bottom surface of the pit. The dock leveler may have a deck with a rear portion disposed adjacent the rear wall and supported by the rear leg bracket. The deck may be horizontal when in a stowed position. The dock leveler may also include a lift arm assembly extending from the bottom surface of the deck to the bottom surface of the pit and moveable along the bottom surface of the pit. The lift arm assembly may have a bottom portion movable independent of structure at the bottom portion of the plurality of legs.

Vehicle Leveler with Improved Drainage

The vehicle leveler includes a first portion which has a leading edge and a trailing edge, the trailing edge is disposed further from the driveway than the leading edge and forms a ramp section. The first portion has a flat section adjacent the trailing edge. The embodiment also includes a second portion which has a leading edge and a trailing edge, the leading edge of the second portion is disposed further from the driveway than the trailing edge of the second portion. The second portion includes an extension portion. The vehicle leveler also has at least one drainage aperture which is formed within and extends through the second portion for improved user safety.

Example dock leveler apparatuses are disclosed. A dock leveler apparatus includes a curtain assembly that includes an upper curtain section and a lower curtain section. The curtain assembly is movable between a folded configuration and a pendant configuration. The curtain assembly having a longer length in the pendant configuration than in the folded configuration. A connector couples to the upper curtain section to a deck pivotally coupled to a base frame of a dock leveler. A releasable coupling between the upper curtain section and the lower curtain section. The releasable coupling is to removably couple the lower curtain section and the upper curtain section.

GANGWAY ASSEMBLY

A gangway for use with a container to be accessed is provided. The gangway comprises a fixed platform and a support structure connected to the fixed platform in a manner that allows the support structure to rotate with respect to the fixed platform between a raised stowed position and a lowered deployed position. An end platform is pivotally connected at the distal end of the support structure, the end platform defining an upper walking surface and a bottom surface that engages the top of the container, the height between the bottom surface and the walking surface being no greater than one inch.

Vehicle Leveler with Swing Gate

A vehicle leveler which includes a first portion with a leading edge and a trailing edge, the trailing edge is disposed further from the driveway than the leading edge. The leveler also includes a second portion with a leading edge and a trailing edge, the leading edge of the second portion is removably attached to the trailing edge of the first portion and the leading edge of the second portion is disposed further from the driveway than the trailing edge of the second portion. The second portion also includes an extension portion. The vehicle leveler has opposing side portions which have a top surface that forms a walkway. A safety barrier with two opposed gates is mounted adjacent to the vehicle leveler. The safety barrier when in an open position acts as a fall protection barrier for a user.
