A tray supporting an article is transported to a detraying assembly where the article is detrayed by elevating the bottom at least to the level of the tray rim with an article lifter having a lifting base and a plurality of lifting blocks. The lifting blocks are sized and arranged to engage the tray bottom through the opening in response to the lifting base being elevated, and to maintain orientation of the tray with at least one of said blocks positioned outside of the tray adjacent the rim. The article is displaced off of the elevated tray bottom.

SYSTEM AND APPARATUSES FOR LOADING, TRANSPORTING AND UNLOADING FRAGILE PRODUCT
20220048719 · 2022-02-17 · ·

A system and a method for gently loading, transporting and unloading frangible products using totes is provided. The system includes a loading station at a first location, an unloading station at a second location and a plurality of totes for use in storing the frangible products for transportation from the first location to the second location. The totes include an interior space that is upwardly curved and concave for gently receiving the frangible products therein as they are laterally discharged off of a lateral discharge portion of the reciprocating conveyor. Two or more totes can be sequentially loaded along the lateral discharge portion of the reciprocating conveyor using backpressure caused by accumulation of frangible product along the edge of the lateral discharge portion of the reciprocating conveyor to redirect incoming frangible products towards a downstream section of the lateral discharge portion of the reciprocating conveyor.

Disclosed is a cutting system, which includes: a feed unit to supply a plurality of pre-loaded trays in sequential order; a loading unit to load the tray supplied from the feed unit with a subject to be processed (“subject”); a storage unit to load the plurality of trays loaded with the subjects in multiple stages to temporally store the same, followed by sequentially re-supplying the subjects in accordance with a change in formation of the product; a machining unit to cut the subject delivered from the storage unit with laser so as to form the product; and a recovery unit that measures a weight of the product formed in the machining unit and recovers the same. According to the present invention as described above, a cutting process to cut the subject so as to form a product and a weight-measuring process to measure a weight of the formed product may be successively executed in a single line, thereby enhancing productivity of the product.

ROUTING OF TOTES AND BOTTLES WITHIN A PHARMACY CONVEYOR SYSTEM
20220306399 · 2022-09-29 ·

A system, method, and apparatus for the routing of totes and bottles within a pharmacy fulfillment center are disclosed. The system, method, and apparatus are configured to transmit routing tables from an application server to station controllers (e.g., PLCs) to enable each station to locally make a routing decision. Since the routing logic is locally stored at each station, the controllers do not need to transmit request messages to the server every time a tote or bottle is scanned. The system, method, and apparatus increase conveyor throughput by enabling each station to make a routing decision without having to wait for a response from a server.

TRAY HANDLING AUTONOMOUS ROBOT

An autonomous tray handling robotic system is disclosed. In various embodiments, data indicating a set of output stacks to be assembled is stored, each output stack including an associated set of trays each of a corresponding tray type. Operation of one or more robots is controlled, each robot being configured to grasp, move, and place one or more trays at a time, according to a plan, to iteratively pick trays from source stacks of trays and assemble the set of output stacks, including by building each output stack by successively placing on the output stack trays picked from one or more corresponding source stacks. Each of the robots comprises a robotic arm and a tray handling end effector configured to grasp, move, and place one or more trays without assistance from another robot.
