SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MEDICATION DISPENSER
20230097910 · 2023-03-30 ·

Disclosed are systems and methods for a pill dispenser system. The dispenser system includes a dispenser software application that manages the administration of pills to a patient. The pills can be stored in multiple compartments of a hopper. The hopper includes openings in the bottom of each compartment. A disc below the hopper has openings that correspond to the hopper openings, but are offset, keeping the pills in each compartment. The hopper and the disc move together to index a compartment above a dispensing cup. The hopper moves in the opposite direction, without the disc, creating a dispensing aperture, where a pill is dropped onto an elevator. The elevator lowers the pill and drops it into a dispensing cup.

Apparatus and method for handling piece goods moved one after another

The invention relates to an apparatus and a method handling moved piece goods. The apparatus comprises a manipulator for the piece goods, at least one transport device transporting the moved piece goods to a seizing range of the at least one manipulator and at least one horizontal conveying device assigned to the seizing range and/or to a movement range of the at least one manipulator, via which horizontal conveying device the moved piece goods are transported in the seizing range of the at least one manipulator. Furthermore, the apparatus comprises at least one detection device for obtaining space coordinates and/or position data and/or contour data of piece goods to be seized by the manipulator, wherein the at least one horizontal conveying device and the at least one transport device are calibratable and/or controllable based on the space coordinates and/or position data and/or contour data.

RECEPTACLE DELIVERY SYSTEM

A receptacle delivery system includes a carriage configured to move from a first to a second location of an instrument. The carriage may be configured to removably support a receptacle and may include a receptacle clamping mechanism. The receptacle mechanism may be configured to apply a clamping force to the receptacle as the carriage moves from the first to the second location and release the clamping force as the carriage moves from the second to the first location.

CONVEYOR BELT RIP DETECTION METHOD & SYSTEM
20230091198 · 2023-03-23 ·

A system for detecting a rip in a conveyor belt carrying a material, the system including: a sensor arrangement configured to provide a light curtain under at least a portion the conveyor belt to detect material passing through the rip thereby detecting the rip. A related method is also disclosed.

CELL AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A CELL OF AT LEAST TWO LINKED HORIZONTAL MACHINING CENTERS
20220339750 · 2022-10-27 ·

In a cell with linked horizontal processing machining centers, each with two swivel arms for manipulating and changing pallets, which can be conveyed to and from a support in a conveying direction, each horizontal machining center is assigned at least one multi-storey pallet rack which is offset in the conveying direction relative to the front side and in which a pallet through-path is provided, and at least one rack storage and retrieval device with a lifting function transverse to the conveying direction is moveable at least between the pallet racks.

Inspection system

Examples of non-invasive inspection of a mechanical system are described. In an example implementation, a first operational data from a detector mounted on an item being handled by a mechanical system is retrieved. The detector may include one or more sensors, and the first operational data is indicative of a current operational condition of the mechanical system. The first operational data can be compared with a corresponding historical first operational data and an error in the current operational condition of the mechanical system is determined based on the comparison. In response to the identification of the error, a notification is generated to perform a non-invasive inspection of the mechanical system.

Vision-enhanced photocell system for package sorting

A system and method for enhanced monitoring and sorting of delivery items, such as packages, which are moved and sorted via a delivery service conveyor device. Conventional systems may employ photocells, which detect interrupted light beams, to identify packages or delivery items along a conveyor path. The present system and method enhances photocell function by adding image detection and analysis to the mail path; and further by modifying the photocell signals to the sorter/conveyor control. The present sensing system is located in the same area on the transport as the photocell, and uses a camera to capture an image of the mail path in the photocell area. The system and method then analyzes a package image to formulate a more accurate item detection signal, based on photocell data and image data, for input to the sorter/conveyor control system.

AUTOMATED BAGGAGE HANDLING CARTS AND SYSTEMS
20230126064 · 2023-04-27 ·

Automated and/or autonomous material handling equipment include conveyors and/or baggage carts that can be used in material handling systems for safe and efficient package movement and management within facilities such as warehouses, airports, campuses and/or other locations. In some examples, material handling systems include a conveyor that can be tilted and/or raised in a motorized and automated manner. In some embodiments, the autonomous baggage carts include a cart body defining an interior space configured for receiving baggage items, driven wheels attached to the cart body, an onboard microcomputer and antenna configured for wireless communication with a remotely located computerized baggage handling management and control logistics system, and a door conveyor movably attached to the cart body. In some examples, an automated conveyor system described herein can be used separately from the baggage cart.

Discontinuous grid system for use in systems and methods for processing objects including mobile matrix carrier systems

An automated carrier system is disclosed for moving objects to be processed. The automated carrier system includes a discontinuous plurality of track sections on which an automated carrier may be directed to move, and the automated carrier includes a base structure on which an object may be supported, and at least two wheels assemblies being pivotally supported on the base structure for pivoting movement from a first position to a second position to effect a change in direction of movement of the carrier.

HIGH-RATE AT HIGH-DENSITY TUNABLE ACCUMULATION CONVEYOR
20230122265 · 2023-04-20 ·

Various embodiments disclosed herein provide for an improved accumulation conveyor and systems and methods for controlling a high rate, high density tunable accumulation conveyor. In one embodiment, an accumulation conveyor system determines whether an item detection variable associated with a second zone of a plurality of zones is satisfied, wherein the second zone is downstream of a first zone. The accumulation conveyor system determines whether at least one of two operational characteristic variables is satisfied. In an instance where both the item detection variable and at least one operational characteristic variable are satisfied, the accumulation conveyor system is configured to set a zone operating state associated with the first zone to inactive and send a command signal comprising the zone operating state associated with the first zone to a control module associated with the first zone. In another embodiment, an improved method for adjusting aggressiveness is disclosed. In another embodiment, a tunable release rate accumulation conveyor is disclosed. In still another embodiment, a tunable crowding accumulation conveyor is disclosed.
