Device Comprising a Conveyor

A device comprising a conveyor such as a sorter comprises a support surface for an object, and a moveable barrier, wherein said barrier comprises a bottom side for contact with the support surface and a top side, and is moveable relative to the support surface with a directional component, which directional component is i) parallel to the support surface and ii) transverse to the direction of movement of the support surface. So as to reduce the risk of an object getting stuck between the barrier and the support surface, the barrier comprises a multitude of independently moveable barrier elements having free distal ends for contact with the support surface and defining the bottom edge of the barrier, wherein the barrier elements are mounted such that the distal ends of the barrier element are moveable with a vertical directional component.

A diverter system includes a diverter arm and an actuator assembly for operating and moving the diverter arm, wherein the diverter arm and the actuator assembly are configured such that the diverter arm is moveable between a retracted dwell position and a plurality of extended dwell positions within an impact dwell range.

Belt conveyor capable of conveying oilseed products

A belt and a belt conveyor are provided for transporting particulate material and especially oilseeds up the belt conveyor. The belt conveyor can include an intake end having a hopper, a discharge end, a body extending between the intake end and the discharge end and a belt. The belt travels along a travel path in the belt conveyor; the belt traveling through the hopper, up an upper run in the body to the discharge end, down a return run in the body, and back through the hopper. The belt can have a top surface having pairs of adjacent ridges provided on the top surface, each ridge having a pair of arms extending from a point, in a travel direction of the belt, wherein each pair of adjacent ridges define a v-channel on the top surface of the belt.

SHOE SORTER CONVEYOR

A sorter includes a slat and a shoe disposed along the slat. The shoe includes a base and a bumper. The base has an exterior surface. The bumper is coupled to the base. The shoe moves in a lateral direction along the slat to move an item across the slat. The bumper deflects when a threshold force is applied indicative of a jam to allow the item to slide over the base. A drive system is configured to move the slat in a longitudinal direction. The slat includes slat pins. A slat coupler couples the slat to the drive system. The slat coupler includes a carriage base, a coupler arm, and a retainer clip. The carriage base with pin notches is coupled to the drive system. The coupler arm with pin notches is pivotally coupled to the carriage base. The coupler arm is closed against the carriage base with the slat pins disposed within the pin notches. The retainer clip is clipped to the slat pins. The retainer clip contacts the coupler arm to retain the coupler arm in a closed position where the coupler arm is closed against the carriage base.

Automatic singulation of items

Singulation system may utilize various features to singulate items, e.g., which may be different sizes from one another. For example, a conveyor may advance items along the length of the conveyor, and paddles arranged for protruding over respective portions of the conveyor may be selectively positionable based on conditions (such as a size or a jammed state) of items detected as present on a relevant part of the conveyor. Additionally or alternatively, a first conveyor may advance items at a first speed and in a first direction to sequentially drop the items onto a second conveyor positioned below the first conveyor, and the second conveyor may advance the received items at a second speed higher than the first speed and in a second direction different from the first direction, e.g., to increase space between items.

A supply apparatus (10) includes: a blocker (13) disposed at a fork (12) between a main conveyance path (11), a first conveyance path (12A), and a second conveyance path (12B), the blocker (13) making a switch between a first state where supply of articles from the main conveyance path (11) to the first conveyance path (12A) is blocked and a second state where supply of the articles from the main conveyance path (11) to the second conveyance path (12B) is blocked; and a controller (20) that transitions, based on respective conditions of supply of the articles to two adjacent combination weighing mechanisms (1A, 1B), the blocker (13) into at least either the first state or the second state to switch a route of conveyance of the articles.

Brush diverter

A material handling system includes a belted conveyor that longitudinally transports low profile articles. An actuating mechanism selectively positions a counter rotating cylindrical roller brush diagonal across the conveyor surface to divert the low profile articles to a lateral destination off a side of the belted conveyor and can position the cylindrical roller brush away the belted conveyor to allow the low profile articles to transport to a longitudinal destination at a terminal end of the belted conveyor.

MEDICATION CONTAINER SINGULATOR SYSTEM AND APPARATUS

A system and apparatus for a medication container singulator apparatus is disclosed. The container singulator apparatus includes a main frame, a belt support, a cleated belt, a ramp, a divider, and a push plate. As medication containers are routed upward along the cleated belt, the push plate pushes medication containers towards one end of the cleated belt. The divider knocks off medication containers lying perpendicular to the cleated belt. The ramp pushes medication containers hanging off of the cleated belt off. At the top end of the container singulator apparatus, medication containers are limited to one per cleat and are pushed to one side of the cleated belt.
