The disclosed fishing lure systems have a fishing lure, bead sleeve, and a stop that can be used in combination with a fishing line and hook. The fishing lure has a pliable body and a pre-formed hole. The bead sleeve can be fitted within the pre-formed hole with an interference fit because the pliable body expands to fit around the bead sleeve to hold it in place within the pre-formed hole. The stop is positioned on one side of the fishing lure and bead sleeve to prevent it from sliding down towards the hook or possibly over some portion of the hook. The stop can be positioned spaced apart from the hook on a fishing line so that the distance between the fishing lure and the hook remains at a desirable spacing while in use.

A line tier for a fishing tackle item that makes line tying easier and safer has an enclosure with a tackle retention end and a second end, a rotatable member extending from the second end permitting rotation of the enclosure about the rotatable member. The enclosure is openable so that in the open configuration a tackle item can be inserted such that a portion of the tackle item protrudes from the enclosure. In the closed configuration, the tackle item is held securely with a portion of the tackle item protruding from an elongated slot formed in the tackle retention end of the enclosure. A plurality of fishing lines can be held securely in the enclosure with a portion of each fishing line protruding from the enclosure on the tackle retention end and the second end of the enclosure.

A method and assembly for knotting a line restrains a fishing line in a loose knot pattern while a knot or splice is formed in the fishing line to enable tightening the knot by stretching the line. The assembly includes a pair of cylinders having an external surface, a first end, and a second end. A pair of tubes encapsulate the pair of cylinders to provide a slip resistant surface. Two pair of caps comprising an open end and a closed end detachably attach to the first and second ends of the tubes. The caps include at least one flat surface region having a depression. One cap per tube includes a light emitting diode (LED) which enables hands free illumination while knotting or splicing line. Magnets are integrated into the cap depressions to enable magnetic attraction between tubes. Fishing line wrap around the tubes to enable knotting and splicing.

A fish and game device is disclosed. An example fish and game device includes a central tubing portion, an absorbent material provided around at least a portion of the central tubing portion, and a mesh material provided over the absorbent material. The mesh material retains the absorbent material adjacent the central tubing portion. A scent on the absorbent material may be released through the mesh material into a surrounding environment to attract fish or wildlife.

A fish and game device is disclosed. An example fish and game device includes a central tubing portion, an absorbent material provided around at least a portion of the central tubing portion, and a mesh material provided over the absorbent material. In described embodiments, a method of redirecting a track of a fishing lure on a fishing line. The fishing lure has a body, a fishing lure longitudinal axis extending along a length of the body, a line tie extending outwardly from the body, and a re-positioning mechanism mounted entirely inside the body and connected to the line tie. The re-positioning mechanism is activated by the fishing line. The method includes the steps of using a fishing pole, casting the fishing lure into a body of water; while the fishing lure is in the water, reeling in the fishing lure; and moving the line tie between a first position and a second position such that only the movement of the line tie between the first position and the second position changes a direction of travel of the fishing lure while the lure is being reeled in.

The barbless safety fishhook is a fishhook that is designed to keep a fish on the fishhook without the use of a barb. The barbless safety fishhook uses constant tension maintained on the fishing line to move the captured fish to a V shaped valley where the fish is secured. In addition, the barbless safety fishhook is fitted with three rubber brakes that prevent the fish from sliding towards the fishhook tip after capture. The barbless safety fishhook comprises a hook and a spring lock.

A live bait rig for adding motion to live bait as it moves through the water. The live bait rig generally includes a leader with a fixed loop adapted for attachment to a fishing line, the leader also being attached to or including a fishhook. The rig also includes a float on the leader positioned between the fixed loop and the fishhook, the float having a flat front surface toward the fixed loop and a curved rear surface toward the fishhook, and having an opening that extends from the flat front surface to the curved rear surface, wherein the opening is asymmetrically positioned on the float, wherein the leader passes through the opening such that the float is free to rotate on the leader.
