Ice fishing apparatus
An ice fishing apparatus for allowing the use of the natural wind to operate, the ice fishing apparatus comprised mainly of a base, a spring action bar, a flat cross bar, a spring-loaded signal flag, an air foil, a rod holder and a trigger mechanism.
System and method for operating animal decoys to simulate the movement of animals
The present invention relates to decoys for simulating the movement of animals on land, air, or water. The invention includes a small, enclosed, and portable unit containing a motor, a rechargeable power supply, a timing control mechanism, and a spool attached to a line. The line extends from the unit and attaches to one or more animal decoys and, at the end, to an anchoring mechanism (e.g., an anchor placed in the water or a tether attached to a tree or other stationary support). The anchoring mechanism preferably is attached to the line via a bungee cord or other flexible connection that exhibits elasticity. The preferred embodiment of the invention includes four main parts: (1) a string portion, which extends from an anchor system to a mechanical unit; (2) one or more animal decoys attached to the string portion; (3) an anchor assembly attached to one end of the string assembly for creating tension in the string assembly and securing its position; and (4) a mechanical unit containing a low-power, motorized spool assembly, a rechargeable power supply, a spool, and a timing mechanism for repeatedly winding and releasing the string portion.
RIBBED FLASHER FOR USE WHILE FISHING
A flasher including at least one rib elevated above the surface of the middle plate portion of the flasher is provided. The rib(s) may exaggerate the movement of the flasher when pulled through water, when compared to an otherwise identical flasher without the rib(s).
PROGRAMMABLE FISHING ROD VIBRATOR WITH SENSORY FEEDBACK CONTROLLER
A fishing rod vibration system, including a mounting platform, a batter powered electronics system mounted on the mounting platform and including a motor controller and a user interface operably and electrically coupled to the motor controller, as well as a vibrator selectively and detachably coupled to the electronics system for receiving output signals from the motor controller. The vibrator includes a housing enclosing an electric motor, and vibrator mounting elements enable attachment of the vibrator to a fishing rod.
Ice fishing indicator device
The present invention relates to an ice fishing indicator device and in particular to an ice fishing indicator device having an improved trigger and or jigging mechanisms. The device has a housing that holds a can for a candle or heat source. A heat shield protects a power box. The jigging mechanism has a motor, a rotating arm, an offset weight and a jigging arm, wherein a wiggle is produced during operation. A reel assembly has a trigger. The trigger can be mechanical via direct contact or contactless. A reel lug can contact a trigger or pass near a contactless sensor. The trigger can cause a flag to deploy via an electrically controlled flag release. The trigger can also cause a communication device to send a signal. The communication device can be held in a communication box on the interior of the housing.
Programmable fishing rod vibrator with sensory feedback controller
A fishing rod vibration system including a battery powered electronics system, programmable motor controller, and user interface, as well as a vibrator selectively and detachably coupled to the electronics system for receiving output signals from the motor controller. The electronics system and user interface may be disposed in or on a fishing reel, and the electronic vibrator may be collocated with the electronics system or disposed on a fishing rod separated from the electronics system.
Fishing System and Method to Enhance the Fishing Experience
A fishing system includes a submersible fishing implement for being received in a body of water and configured for capturing one or more fish. An implement driver is configured to drive movement of the submersible fishing implement through the body of water. A data collection system includes one or more sensors for sensing one or more fishing parameters and transmitting a fishing parameter signal representative of the one or more fishing parameters. A controller is operatively connected to the data collection system to receive the fishing parameter signal and to determine based on the fishing parameter signal a selected fishing location. The controller is further configured to transmit a navigation signal to the implement driver operative to control the implement driver to drive movement of the submersible fishing implement toward the selected fishing location.

Powered Jigging Device with Movably Mounted Motor Driving a Balance-Adjustable Rod Holder
A powered jigging device has a support frame, and a rod carrier that pivots in a first working plane while holding a fishing rod. A motor carrier is movably coupled to the support frame in a manner allowing constrained motion of the motor carrier in a parallel second working plane. A motor on the motor carrier drives an eccentric about a rotational axis of the motor. The eccentric is engaged with a mating feature the rod carrier at a position radially spaced from the pivot axis such that said driven revolution of the eccentric normally pivots the rod carrier upward and downward about said pivot axis, while the available constrained motion between the motor carrier and the support frame accommodates freewheeling operation of the motor when a caught fish pulls a front end of the rod carrier into a lowered position via tension in the fishing line.
