Device and method for enhancing the feeding response of larval fish
A device and method are provided for enhancing the feeding response of larval fish to feedstock. A food distribution mechanism is positionable above the tank housing the larval fish and is adapted for receiving the feedstock therein. The food distribution mechanism selectively deposits portions of the feedstock into the tank. A light source is positionable adjacent the tank and selectively directs a laser beam at the tank. A controller is operatively connected to the food distribution mechanism and the light source. The controller is configured to actuate the food distribution mechanism for a time period at selected intervals such that the food distribution mechanism deposits a portion of the feedstock into the tank during each time period. In addition, the controller is configured to actuate the light source for at least a portion of each time period.

Aquaculture process for the production of salmon eggs
A process for harvesting fish eggs is provided, in particular fish eggs from Salmon. The process comprises rearing sexually immature salmon in an aquatic environment in stages during which at least the light exposure and time span is adjusted. The rearing includes at least a winter-summer period that comprises a winter life-cycle stage, within which the broodstock is exposed to light that simulates winter light exposure, and a subsequent summer life-cycle stage, within which the broodstock is exposed to light that simulates summer light exposure, wherein the total Accumulated Thermal Unit (ATU) during the winter-summer period is no more than 5000. The inventions also provides salmon eggs that are produced by the disclosed process.
Decorative lighting system for terrarium
The present invention discloses a decorative lighting system for a terrarium having a lid and a body comprising: a plurality of lighting elements, each lighting element having a light source, and a decorative member to cover the light source; an electrical powering arrangement having a switch, at least one electrical wiring to electrically coupled with the plurality of lighting elements to be lit via the switch, the switch is adapted to be coupled to the lid of the terrarium in such a manner that the switch protrudes from the lid to be accessed by a user from outside; a plurality of stalks, each stalk of the plurality of stalks having a top end portion and a bottom end portion, the top end portion having an attaching mechanism to detachably attach the lighting element and the at least one electrical wiring; and plurality of suction cups.
