Plant for fish farming and its use

The present invention is directed to a first farming plant including a central tank and one or more surrounding tanks, where the central tank is used for water treatment and the one or more surrounding tanks are used for the farming of fish. The fish farming plan may also include one or more flow applicators, whereby the flow rate of the water in the surrounding tanks are individually independent of the water exchange rate. The fish farming plant may include several movable permeable section walls in each of the surrounding tanks dividing each surrounding tank into tank sections. Each surrounding tank is equipped with one or more outlets and one or two inlets, and a substantially horizontal/laminar flow structure of the water in each one of the surrounding tanks is provided.

HABITAT LIGHTING ASSEMBLY

A lighting assembly includes a light guide having opposite first and second major surfaces and at least one edge surface extending between the first and second major surfaces, a solid-state light source arranged to emit light into the edge surface of the light guide, and a plurality of integrated optical elements associated with the first major surface to redirect the light emitted by the solid-state light source. The lighting assembly may further include an air circulation device and a heat transfer system configured to transfer heat generated by the solid-state lighting source to a flow of air generated by the air circulation device. The solid-state light source may include light-emitting diodes, laser diodes, and/or organic light emitting diodes configured to produce multiple colors. Also provided is a habitat including the lighting assembly, and related methods.

A glass-tube heater includes a glass tube, a cap, and a temperature display unit. The glass tube is provided therein with an off-water protection sensor or a tipping switch, a control circuit board, one of a TRIAC and a relay, and a heating element. The control circuit board includes a control unit (which is an MCU or a comparator). All the components that are disposed in the glass tube are electrically connected to form a control circuit. Devices for temperature control, detection, and heating are all disposed inside the glass tube. The off-water protection sensor is operable to detect if being removed out of water for controlling the heating element to carry out heating or not, thereby ensuring quick termination of heating upon removal out of water. The tipping switch is operable to control the heating element from heating in case of excessive tipping of the heater.

LIGHTING CONTROLLER FOR SEA LICE DETECTION

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-storage media, for a lighting controller for sea lice detection. In some implementations, a pulse of red light and a pulse of blue light can be timed with the exposure of a camera to capture multiple images of a fish or group of fishes in both red and blue light. By using the captured images with different color light, computers can detect features on the body of a fish including sea lice, skin lesions, shortened operculum or other physical deformities and skin features. Detection results can aid in mitigation techniques or be stored for analytics. For example, sea lice detection results can inform targeted treatments comprised of lasers, fluids, or mechanical devices such as a brush or suction.

Aquafarming system

An aquafarming system is provided that includes a cultivating barrel with a multi-floor net assembly for the cultivation of shellfish creatures or the like. In the aquafarming system, the use of the multi-floor net assembly allows an increased cultivating area such that the quantity of the shellfish creatures being cultivated can be increased to thereby increase the productivity. At the harvest time, the multi-floor net assembly can be lifted up so as to be separated from the cultivating barrel such that the cultivated shellfish creatures can be easily and conveniently collected to reduced labor time and cost.
