A friction sheet feeding machine is provided. The friction sheet feeding machine comprises a hopper configured to hold a stack of items. The friction sheet feeding machine also comprises a receiver configured to receive an item from the stack of items. The friction sheet feeding machine also comprises a separating mechanism configured to separate the item from the stack of items. The separating mechanism comprises a drive mechanism. The drive mechanism is configured to operate in a forward direction and a reverse direction. The friction sheet feeding machine also comprises a controller configured to generate signals to the drive mechanism to operate in the forward direction for a first period of time, and in the reverse direction for a second period of time.

A sheet feeder especially designed for use in the food and pharmaceutical industries is constructed in a hygienic manner and with suitable materials to permit rapid and effective cleaning and sanitizing thereof. Apparatus for separating workpieces which preferably consist at least in sections of wood, wood-based materials, plastic or the like, having a workpiece magazine with a magazine area for holding a plurality of workpieces, in particular a stack of workpieces, a discharge device for discharging a workpiece out of the workpiece magazine, characterized in that the apparatus has a feed device which is set up to feed at least one workpiece held in the workpiece magazine to the discharge device.

A sheet feeder comprises a roller configured to rotate about an axis and an input drive configured to deliver single sheets to the roller such that a leading edge of each sheet is substantially parallel to the axis. The cover feeder includes a control unit to which information can be transmitted relating to the format and sequence of book covers in the stack of book covers having different formats, and a laterally adjustable centering device connected to the control unit for a defined lateral displacement and/or aligning of respectively one book cover that is separated out from the second receiving device and is positioned on the first receiving device.

A feeding device for digital processing machine includes a paper passage, a friction device, and a sheet-feeding module. The sheet-feeding module is disposed in the paper passage and opposite to the friction device. The sheet-feeding module includes a sheet-feeding roller, a first idle wheel, and a belt. The sheet-feeding roller is for separating a sheet with the friction device. The first idle wheel is disposed in the upstream side of the sheet-feeding roller. The belt encircles the first idle wheel and the axle of the sheet-feeding roller. The sheet-feeding module rotates from a first position to a second position when the sheet-feeding roller rotates, such that the belt contacts the sheet when the sheet-feeding module is at the second position.
