Fishing bait holder
09918460 · 2018-03-20 ·

A fishing bait holder includes an outer wall and a base defining a bait holding space having a bait opening for receiving bait to be held, the base comprising a porous base member configured to allow water to pass through the porous base member while not allowing the bait to pass through the porous base member. The fishing bait holder includes a bait lifter for fitting inside the bait holding space, the bait lifter configured to allow a user to lift the bait within the bait holding space, thereby facilitating the user's access to the bait.

Live Well Buddy

A live well buddy is used to contain fish or other catch in a fishing boat's live well, keeping the catch safe and fresh and allowing the user to remove the entire catch at once. A net is perimetrically connected to a flotation ring, forming a live well chamber within the net. Fish are placed within the net through the flotation ring, the user may remove the entire catch by grasping and pulling the flotation ring and attached net out of the live well along with all the fish contained therein. A plurality of weights may be connected to the bottom of the net to keep the bottom portion of the net sunk to the floor of the live well. A stretch-on cover with a slit may be attached atop the flotation ring, providing a cover for the live well chamber while allowing fish to be placed into the live well chamber.

Pressurized livewell system and method
12172735 · 2024-12-24 ·

A pressurized livewell system is designed to autonomously maintain a slightly elevated water pressure within the livewell tank, and to keep the tank substantially full of water at all times to prevent injury or death of live bait due to sloshing of water within the tank when the boat is in rough water. The system includes a tank with a lid, a water pressure sensor connected to an electronic controller programmed with an algorithm, which controls voltage to a pump, and a water outflow system including an in-line low pressure check valve. The pressure sensor continuously sends water pressure data to the electronic controller, which uses the algorithm calculations to continuously adjusts pump voltage, and thus water output rate, to maintain a constant pressure, preferably between 0.08 psi and 0.1 psi. The system may be operated in manual mode or automatic mode.

Live Bait Container
20170251653 · 2017-09-07 · ·

A bait container for storing live bait such as minnows. The container has walls with a plurality of small openings adapted to allow water to freely flow between the inside and the outside of the container but not allow the bait to escape from the inside of the container. An opening/lid on one side allows selective access to the inside of the container for retrieving the bait. A shock absorbing system helps to stabilize the container and control the turbulence of rough wave action which helps avoid bruising of the bait inside the container. The shock absorbing system includes at least one tether to secure the container to a dock, boat, or other suitable object. The tether includes an extension spring combined with a shock absorbing member, such as a rope or strap. In some embodiments the shock absorbing system includes two tethers combined with the container at different points.

Adjustable drain

A drain system having a body adjustably coupled to a drain. The body can be rotated along its threads and engage a seal in the drain to substantially prevent water from flowing out of the drain. When rotated the opposite direction, the body can be spaced from the seal and allow water to flow out of the drain. The drain can also include holes that allow water to flow into the drain when the body is rotated so as to be spaced from the seal.
