REWINDING MACHINE AND METHOD OF PRODUCING LOGS OF WEB MATERIAL
The rewinding machine includes a first winding cradle formed between a first winding roller, a second winding roller and a third winding roller. The first winding roller and the second winding roller define a nip through which there pass the winding cores with the web material being wound around them. The rewinding machine also includes a feed path of the winding cores that pass between the first winding roller and the third winding roller. A second winding cradle is formed between the first winding roller, the second winding roller and a fourth winding roller. The rewinding machine also includes a rolling surface extending around the first winding roller and defining a feed channel of the winding cores.
Surface Rewinder with Center Assist and Belt and Winding Drum Forming a Winding Nest
A rewinding machine winds a web material into a log about a core. The web material to be wound is directed about a rotating winding drum. A continuous loop is spaced from the winding drum and with the winding drum defines a nip through which the core is inserted and through which the web material is directed. A surface of the continuous loop opposite the winding drum across the nip is configured to move in a direction generally opposite of the winding drum for winding the web material about the core. A rider roll defines a winding space with the winding drum and the continuous loop. The rider roll is movable relative to the continuous loop and the winding drum to allow for an increase in a diameter of the log in the winding space during winding of the web material about the core.
Rewinding machine and rewinding method
A rewinding machine for the production of rolls of web material wound around winding cores includes: a winding cradle, including peripheral winding members of the rolls; a feeding path of the web material towards the winding cradle; an insertion channel for inserting the winding cores towards the winding cradle, having an entrance inside which the winding cores are introduced and an exit toward the winding cradle, the insertion channel being defined between a rolling surface and a continuous flexible member, provided with a forward movement; an inserter for inserting the winding cores into the inserting channel. At the entrance of the insertion channel a pressing device is arranged, said pressing device projects toward the inside of the insertion channel and toward the continuous flexible member. The pressing device is arranged and configured to press the winding cores entering the insertion channel towards the continuous flexible member.
