TILLAGE IMPLEMENT WITH TRAILING COULTER
An implement for tilling the soil and methods of using the same. The implement may include cultivator sweeps arranged in staggered rows, trailing coulters positioned behind a rearmost row of the cultivator sweeps, and a finishing attachment positioned proximate the trailing coulters. The trailing coulters are designed to penetrate deeper into the soil than the cultivator sweeps. The method includes passing such an implement through the soil such that the trailing coulters pass through the soil after the sweeps and the finishing attachment passes over and/or through the soil.
Agricultural Field Preparation Device
An agricultural device associated with reduced tillage techniques in a field includes a frame and a separator supported by the frame. The separator is configured to form a strip of exposed soil in residual plant matter in the field. A crimping device associated with the separator is configured to at least partially crush sterns of residual plant matter while maintaining the strip.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MONITORING SOIL FLOW AROUND GROUND-ENGAGING TOOLS OF AN AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENT BASED ON RADAR DATA
In one aspect, a system for monitoring soil flow around a ground-engaging tool of an agricultural implement. The system may include a ground-engaging tool configured to be moved through the soil as the agricultural implement travels across a field. Furthermore, the system may include a radar sensor configured to capture data indicative of a flow of the soil around the ground-engaging tool within a detection zone of the radar sensor. Additionally, the system may include a controller communicatively coupled to the radar sensor. The controller may, in turn, be configured to generate a representation of the flow of the soil around the ground-engaging tool within the detection zone based on data received from the radar sensor.
Seed trench depth detection systems
A seed trench depth sensor is adapted to mount to an agricultural implement. The trench depth sensor comprises an elongate member which drags within the seed trench and a second part which detects the distance to the elongate member within the seed trench.
TRENCH CLOSING ASSEMBLY
A trench closing assembly having an actuator for applying a force to the trench closing assembly in which the force is divided between closing wheels and a press wheel disposed rearward of the closing wheels.
ELECTRIC-SHOCK SOIL TREATMENT APPARATUS AND METHOD THEREOF
An electric-shock soil treatment apparatus and method for treating soil. The electric shock soil treatment apparatus can be an attachment that can either be easily retrofitted or designed into existing and new agricultural equipment. The system can provide a sustainable solution for stabilizing nitrogen fertilizers. The electric shock soil treatment system also provides other effective alternative solutions that would benefit from reduced soil microbial activity or from additional weed control.
SEED TRENCH DEPTH DETECTION SYSTEMS
A row unit downforce system including: a downforce actuator in operational communication with the row unit and constructed and arranged to apply supplemental downforce to the row unit and opening disks; a monitoring system comprising at least one furrow depth sensor constructed and arranged to generate furrow depth values; and a control system module, wherein the control system module is constructed and arranged to generate actuator command signals in response to the furrow depth values.

A ground-opening apparatus for an agricultural implement. The ground-opening apparatus comprises an opening disc for excavating a furrow in the ground, and a support assembly securing the opening disc to the agricultural implement. The support assembly comprises an upper bar, a lower bar, a forward bar, and a rearward bar. The upper bar and the lower bar extend generally in parallel relationship. The lower bar and the rearward bar are joined at a lower, rearward joint. A rotational axis of the opening disc extends through the lower, rearward joint of the support assembly.

A ground-opening apparatus for an agricultural implement. The ground-opening apparatus comprises an opening disc for excavating a furrow in the ground, and a support assembly securing the opening disc to the agricultural implement. The support assembly comprises an upper bar, a lower bar, a forward bar, and a rearward bar. The upper bar and the lower bar extend generally in parallel relationship. The lower bar and the rearward bar are joined at a lower, rearward joint. A rotational axis of the opening disc extends through the lower, rearward joint of the support assembly.
GROUND OPENERS WITH COMMON DEPTH-ADJUSTMENT
A depth-adjustment assembly for ground openers of an agricultural implement. The ground openers each include an opening disc, a gauge wheel, and a support assembly securing the ground opener to the agricultural implement. The support assembly is configured to raise and lower the ground opener with respect to the ground and/or to adjust a down-pressure of the ground opener. The depth-adjustment assembly comprises for each of the ground openers, a linkage assembly and a depth-adjustment arm configured to adjust a relative position between the opening disc and the gauge wheel. At least a portion of the linkage extends in parallel relationship with the support assembly. The depth-adjustment assembly further comprises a laterally-extending common pivot bar. Each linkage assembly is secured to the common pivot bar, such that rotation of said common pivot bar is configured to simultaneously adjust the relative position between the opening disc and the gauge wheel of each of the ground openers.
