A method for conveying a strip plastic film that can appropriately change the conveyance path for a strip plastic film continuously conveyed from an upstream side such as a raw film to a downstream side includes, when the strip plastic film conveyed from the upstream side is conveyed to the downstream side while being wound on the outer surface of a guide member in at least the central region in the width direction of the film, moving, rotating, or tilting the guide member that has the strip plastic film wound thereon via a base connected to the guide member to change the frictional resistance of the strip plastic film with respect to the guide member and the tension of the strip plastic film, thereby allowing the strip plastic film to slide along the outer surface of the guide member, and thus changing the conveyance path for the strip plastic film.
PRINTING APPARATUS
Automatic sheet feeding of an installed roll is performed more reliably. To this end, a leading end F of a sheet is detected on the basis of a change in an output value of a sensor while causing a roll R to rotate in a winding direction using the sensor capable of detecting a distance to the sheet separated from the roll R. After the detection, the roll R is caused to rotate in a feeding direction, and a feeding state of the sheet is determined on the basis of the change in the output value of the sensor.
PRINTING APPARATUS
Automatic sheet feeding of an installed roll is performed more reliably. A method of making a pad of labels comprises: printing display information on a top surface of a substrate; affixing a first layer of lamination material to a bottom surface of the substrate; affixing a second layer of lamination material to the top surface of the substrate, the second layer of lamination material having a release coating applied to a top surface thereof; applying an adhesive strip to a bottom surface of the first layer of lamination material, the adhesive strip being covered by a liner material; cutting the substrate having first and second layers of lamination material affixed into at least one label; removing the liner material to expose the adhesive strip after cutting the substrate into at least one label; and arranging the labels into a pad of labels.
Meandering correction device, roll medium conveyance device, and image processing device
A meandering correction device for a roll medium includes: a first roll medium conveyance unit; a second roll medium conveyance unit disposed downstream of the first roll medium conveyance unit in a conveyance path for a roll medium; a meandering correction roller located between the first roll medium conveyance unit and the second roll medium conveyance unit in the conveyance path and being vertically downwardly in contact with the roll medium to thereby apply a tension to the roll medium. The meandering correction roller includes a rotational shaft whose direction is changeable. A change in the direction of the rotational shaft causes a position of the roll medium in contact with the meandering correction roller to move in the direction of the rotational shaft.

A meandering correction device for a roll medium includes: a first roll medium conveyance unit; a second roll medium conveyance unit disposed downstream of the first roll medium conveyance unit in a conveyance path for a roll medium; a meandering correction roller located between the first roll medium conveyance unit and the second roll medium conveyance unit in the conveyance path and being vertically downwardly in contact with the roll medium to thereby apply a tension to the roll medium. The meandering correction roller includes a rotational shaft whose direction is changeable. A change in the direction of the rotational shaft causes a position of the roll medium in contact with the meandering correction roller to move in the direction of the rotational shaft.
METHOD FOR CONVEYING SHEET MEMBER AND SHEET MEMBER-CONVEYING APPARATUS
Provided is a method for conveying a sheet member while the sheet member is supported by a roller member, the method including: detecting forces applied, by the sheet member supported by the roller member, to regions at both ends in a width direction of the roller member, respectively, as force components in a plurality of mutually different directions; and adjusting the force components in the regions at both ends in the width direction to a specific balance based on the detection results for the plurality of force components.
Splicer device
The invention relates to a splicer device comprising a first unwinding device to unwind a non-endless first material web and a second unwinding device to unwind a non-endless second material web as well as a joining device for joining together the non-endless material webs to form an endless material web. The splicer device further has a storage carriage, which comprises at least one deflection roller to deflect the endless material web and is displaceable between two end positions to form or loosen material web loops of the endless material web. The at least one deflection roller has a respective central longitudinal axis and is tiltable between two tilt end positions to influence a running direction of the endless material web. The splicer device further has an information processing unit to cause tilting of the at least one deflection roller depending on positional information regarding the endless material web and/or another endless material web to be joined thereto.
Splicer device
The invention relates to a splicer device comprising a first unwinding device to unwind a non-endless first material web and a second unwinding device to unwind a non-endless second material web as well as a joining device for joining together the non-endless material webs to form an endless material web. The splicer device further has a storage carriage, which comprises at least one deflection roller to deflect the endless material web and is displaceable between two end positions to form or loosen material web loops of the endless material web. The at least one deflection roller has a respective central longitudinal axis and is tiltable between two tilt end positions to influence a running direction of the endless material web. The splicer device further has an information processing unit to cause tilting of the at least one deflection roller depending on positional information regarding the endless material web and/or another endless material web to be joined thereto.
