WEB TRANSPORT SYSTEM INCLUDING SCAVENGER BLADE

A web transport system for transporting a web of media along a web-transport path including a fluid bar for guiding the web of media, and a scavenger blade positioned downstream of the fluid bar. A liquid is pumped through holes in an exterior bearing surface of the fluid bar, thereby pushing the web of media away from the fluid bar. The scavenger bar includes a blade edge facing the first surface of the web of media, the blade edge being spaced apart from the first surface of the web of media by a gap distance. The scavenger blade removes at least some liquid from the first surface of the web of media as it passes by the scavenger blade, thereby reducing the amount of liquid that is carried along to portions of the web-transport path that are downstream of the scavenger blade.

A welding device includes a thin film and an ultrasonic welding machine including an ultrasonic welding head welding a first component and a second component of a product together. The thin film is pressed against the product by the ultrasonic welding head and covers a welding area and a non-welding area of the product. The thin film absorbs a vibration energy located in the non-welding area to prevent the vibration energy from being concentrated in the welding area of the product.

The tension roller is positioned along the path and is configured to engage the paper. The motor is operable to rotate the support rollers and/or the tension roller. The dispenser is fixed proximal to the path and is operable to guide liquid coating onto the paper located on the path. The control system is in communication with the motor and is configured to direct the motor to cause the paper to shift in either direction along the path between the spools.

The at least one first roller and the at least one second roller are each driven by a drive so that the tensile stress in the material sheet or in the partial sheets changes periodically over time in the conveying direction of the material sheet.

A first reasoner infers the amount of misregistration between a first image formed by an ejection head and a second image formed by an ejection head, based on the measurement data on the plurality of measurement items. A second reasoner selects some measurement items from the plurality of measurement items, based on a contribution of each measurement item to the amount of misregistration inferred by the first reasoner. The second reasoner infers the amount of misregistration using the measurement data on the selected measurement items.
