A roll (2) of dispensable sheet material (4), wherein the roll (2) has an inner bore (6), the dispensable sheet material (4) is such that it has a free end (8) which is difficult to find for manual dispensation of the dispensable sheet material (4) from the roll (2), the roll (2) comprises assist means (10) for assisting in the finding of the free end (8) of the dispensable sheet material (4), the assist means (10) comprises a device (12) which extends at least transversely over the width of the roll (2), and the device (12) is movable around the roll (2) such that the device (12) is locatable on the roll (2) at a place to receive an end portion (14) of the dispensable sheet material (4) which contains the free end (8), whereby the device (12) indicates the position of the free end (8) and thereby facilitates the manual dispensation of the dispensable sheet material (4) from the roll (2).

A pad of dispensable adhesive tape segments is shown and described. The pad includes a protective envelope and a number of tape segments. The tape segments are arrayed such that detachable pull tabs for each are exposed for grasp. The envelope may include a strip folded over onto itself and adhered in place. The envelope is pulled open and may be adhered to an environmental surface. Tape segments have adhesive of weaker adherence than the adhesive of the envelope so that when pulled by a pull tab, each tape segment preferentially releases from the next, but the envelope maintains adherence to the environmental surface. Adhesive lined tabs initially holding the envelope closed may also be used for adherence to the environmental surface. Preferably used for medical tape, the envelope is waterproof to maintain sterility of tape segments.

An adhesive dispenser is disclosed. The adhesive dispenser includes a cartridge, a dispensing roll, a plunger assembly, and a handle. The cartridge defines a cavity. The dispensing roll is positioned within the cavity and adapted to dispense an adhesive tape. The plunger assembly is positioned within the cavity and is adapted to move relative to the cartridge. The handle is adapted to receive the cartridge therein and is adapted to move the plunger assembly relative to the cartridge such that the plunger assembly applies a section of the adhesive tape to a surface adjoining a bottom portion of the cartridge.

A component supply device supplies a component accommodated in a carrier tape including a base tape and a cover tape pasted on the base tape and having a length to a forward end thereof that is longer than that of the base tape. The component supply device includes a tape conveying part, a turning over correcting part, and a peeling part. The tape conveying part conveys the carrier tape along a conveyance path. The turning over correcting part moves the forward end of the cover tape folded to a side opposite to a side of a conveyance direction, to a position located ahead of a forward end of the base tape in the conveyance direction in the conveyance path. The peeling part captures the forward end of the cover tape, and peels off the cover tape from the base tape.

A tape dispenser housing wound adhesive tape includes a brake spoke tapering (i.e., narrowing) from a distal radial end to a proximal radial end relative to a tape rotational axis, wherein the brake spoke effectuates the braking of wound adhesive tape on a hub by contacting the wound adhesive tape, the hub, or both simultaneously.

A tape dispenser has a cutter or cutting blade that has at least two rows of teeth opposite each other relative to the cutter or cutting blade. The blade is to be installed on the tape dispenser in any of at least two orientations. By installing the blade in any of at least two orientations, at least one row of teeth will always project from the dispensing end to cut adhesive tape as it is unwound from a roll after being dispensed. This type of blade permits an easier manufacturing ability by reducing or eliminating the need to ensure proper alignment of the teeth to project outwardly from the tape dispenser housing.

A tape dispensing system, including: a first roll cartridge including a hub with a first axial side and a second axial side opposite the first side; a first twist-lock connector integral with the first axial side of the hub a second twist-lock connector integral with the second axial side of the hub; a tape cutter extending radially from the hub; and a second roll cartridge substantially identical to the first roll cartridge, the first twist-lock connector of the second roll cartridge mates with the second twist lock connector of the first roll cartridge.

An adhesive dispenser is disclosed. The adhesive dispenser includes a cartridge, a dispensing roll, a plunger assembly, and a handle. The cartridge defines a cavity. The dispensing roll is positioned within the cavity and adapted to dispense an adhesive tape. The plunger assembly is positioned within the cavity and is adapted to move relative to the cartridge. The handle is adapted to receive the cartridge therein and is adapted to move the plunger assembly relative to the cartridge such that the plunger assembly applies a section of the adhesive tape to a surface adjoining a bottom portion of the cartridge.

An adhesive tape applicator with a holder for a roll of adhesive tape and at least one handle and an applicator head arranged so that it is in a fixed position relative to the handle, wherein a deflector edge unit is arranged in particular so that it can move relative to the applicator head.

A tape dispenser includes a body section having first and second side elements separated by a space. Each side element includes a flange projecting into the space between the first and second side elements. A rod extends between the first and second side elements, the rod having a first end coupled to the first element and a second end coupled to the second element. The tape dispenser is adapted to hold a roll of tape having an inner cylindrical surface and an outer cylindrical surface. When the tape dispenser is engaged with the roll of tape, the roll of tape is disposed in the space between the first and second side elements, the first and second flanges are disposed proximate, and in contact with, the inner cylindrical surface, and the rod is disposed proximate, and in contact with, the outer cylindrical surface.
