VARIABLE LENGTH SHEET PRINTING USING CONTINUOUS SUBSTRATES
A hot fuse printer system includes a feeder module adapted to spool a continuous substrate and cut the substrate to a desired length; a sheeting module adapted to feed the cut substrate to a printer module, which includes a hot fuser unit adapted to print on the cut substrate. The feeder module may include at least one sensor configured to determine a length of the substrate. The feeder module, the sheeting module and the printer module are each operatively connected to a controller which is configured to cause the feeder module to cut the substrate in a desired location, the sheeting module to feed the cut substrate to the printer module, and the printer module to print onto the cut substrate in a desired manner.

According to one embodiment, a sheet separator has a first driving roller and a pressing body. The first driving roller rotates about a first rotation shaft. The first driving roller conveys a sheet bundle including a plurality of sheets. The pressing body is capable of approaching the first driving roller. The first driving roller is rotatable in a first direction with the sheet bundle sandwiched between the first driving roller and the pressing body. The pressing body pivots in the first direction about the first rotation shaft with the sheet bundle sandwiched between the first driving roller and the pressing body to cause the plurality of sheets to deviate from one another at edges.
MECHANICAL PACKING CONVERSION APPARATUS INTEGRATING PACKAGING, MEASURING, CUTTING AND PROTECTING FUNCTIONS
The present invention provides a mechanical packing conversion apparatus integrating packaging, measuring, cutting and protecting functions, comprising a box, a measuring scale and a cutting mechanism. An upper cover of the box of the apparatus and a side plate connected to the upper cover can be overturned and opened from side faces, and the cutting mechanism is disposed on a sidewall in the box; the cutting mechanism comprises a head and a base, the head being fixed to the base, a handle, a transmission member and a blade all successively connected being disposed in the head; a through hole is formed at a bottom end of the head, and the blade is placed vertically above the through hole and is communicated with the through hole; a groove configured to receive the measuring scale is provided at a bottom end of the base; and the measuring scale is fixed to the bottom inside the box.
SHEET BINDING DEVICE AND SHEET BINDING METHOD
A sheet binding device includes a sheet shifting unit, a tape cutter, and a tape attachment unit. The sheet shifting unit has a guide and is configured to stack multiple sheets on the guide with edge portions that are shifted from each other to form a sheet bundle. The tape cutter cuts tape with a target length that is varied in accordance with a thickness of the sheet bundle. The tape attachment unit is configured to attach the cut tape having the target length to an edge portion of the sheet bundle.

A printer configured to perform printing on recording paper includes a body and a lid. The body includes a holder configured to accommodate the recording paper. The lid is attached to the body to be opened and closed relative to the body. An opening is formed at the bottom of the holder to allow attachment of a function module to the bottom of the holder.
SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING INFLATED CUSHIONS
A system for providing a web of inflated containers includes a conveyance system, a detachment arm, and a controller. The conveyance system has an operative mode in which the web is advanced along a path of travel by counter-rotating members having a nip through which at least a portion of the web passes and (ii) an idle mode. The detachment arm is positioned beside the path of travel downstream from the conveyance system. The detachment arm has a separator end to engage the web in the path of travel. The controller is programmed to operatively control the conveyance system to move to: (i) the operative mode to advance the web by a predetermined number of containers and (ii) the idle mode in which a transverse detachment line of the web is aligned with the separator end of the detachment arm.

A printer configured to perform printing on recording paper includes a body and a lid. The body includes a holder configured to accommodate the recording paper. The lid is attached to the body to be opened and closed relative to the body. An opening is formed at the bottom of the holder to allow attachment of a function module to the bottom of the holder.
