DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING A MATERIAL WEB
A device for processing a material web (3) that includes means (2) for conveying the material web in a longitudinal direction (L), wherein both an applied, in particular repeated printed image (9) and a control line (10, 11) extending in the longitudinal direction are configured on the material web (3). The control line (10, 11) has a defined position transverse to the material web (3), and the control line (10, 11) is scanned by means of a sensor (15, 16) in a material web (3) processing step. The control line (3) has a digital code structure in its longitudinal direction (L) that encodes a data set of at least four bits, in particular at least two bytes, of information content.
WEARABLE CUTTING APPARATUS
A glove comprises a flexible area configured to be worn on a hand of a user, the flexible area being positioned to be secured on a palm of the hand. The glove also comprises a reinforced area coupled to the flexible area, the reinforced area configured to engage a thumb of the hand and extend towards the palm of the hand. The glove further comprises a protrusion on the reinforced area, the protrusion comprising a blade. The protrusion orients the blade at an angle with respect to the reinforced area.
Apparatus for forming sheets of different lengths or sheets with different panel lengths
Apparatuses and methods of forming sheets having different lengths are provided. The apparatuses and methods may also be used to form panel lengths of different values using a same processing roll. In some embodiments, the diameter of the roll need not change. In some embodiments, the spacing between adjacent rolls need not be changed when transitioning from one sheet length to another sheet length. In some embodiments, the processing roll includes an excess material receiving component that can be active or deactivated to switch between different sheet sizes.

Method and device for successively winding a film web, and film roll
The invention relates to a method for successively winding a film web onto a plurality of spools, wherein the film web is wound to form a first spool, and a tube and/or winding shaft for forming a subsequent second spool and the film web are moved closer to one another and/or are brought into contact with one another upstream of the first spool. The film web is cut, and thus an end of the film web is produced, with end is wound onto the first spool, and a new start of the file web is produced, which is wound onto the second tube. In order to cut the film web, the film web is cut partially in the transverse direction, at least one cut edge and at least one uncut region remaining in the transverse direction, the uncut region being subsequently torn off or cut off.
FILM FREE END CONTROL APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR A STRETCH WRAPPING MACHINE
An apparatus and method for stretch wrapping of a palletized load uses film tension feedback derived from a film tension control load cell to control film dispensation. The load cell measures film tension and the film payout rates is determined by the film tension. Film tension values are used to determine when an out of bounds condition occurs, namely, when a film break has occurred, or when a possible film break is about to occur or when the film has been cut at the end of a wrapping cycle. To prevent film free end entanglement caused by a break, clamps engage the film so the film tail is controlled, eliminating the risk of recoil. The broken film tail may then be quickly and reliably reattached to the rotating load in a desired position.
HAND HELD ERGONOMIC ELECTRIC TAPE DISPENSER
Apparatus and associated methods relate to a handheld power-dispensing tape dispenser having a center of gravity forward of a user's hand. In an illustrative example, a tape dispenser may, for example, include a housing having a handle configured to be held by a human hand. A first roller body may, for example, be rotatably coupled to the housing to rotate about a first axis. A motor may, for example, be disposed in the first roller body. An actuator may, for example, be configured such that, in response to operation of the actuator by a user, the motor induces rotation of the first roller body about the first axis. A second roller body may, for example, be rotatably coupled to the housing and configured to rotate about a second axis substantially parallel to the first axis. Various implementations may advantageously increase stability and/or reduce operator fatigue during taping operations.
One-piece tape cutting device
A one-piece tape cutting device is provided, comprising: a tape shaft, a tape pressing part, a cutting part, a tape supporting part, a side plate, and a pressing plate, and all are integrally formed without being connected by any fasteners. the tape is sleeved on the outside of the tape shaft from the opposite side of the side plate, the pressing plate is stretched by the tape and away from the tape shaft, so that the tape is pressed by the pressing plate and does not rotate, the tape is restricted by the anti-dislodging piece and does not disengage, and the end of the tape is pulled through the gap between the tape supporting part and the tape pressing part, and non-adhesive surface of the tape faces the tape pressing part, and the cutting part can cut through the tape.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ALIGNING SHEET MATERIAL
An apparatus and method for determining sheet material edges on a surface including a sensor configured to detect an outer edge and a usable edge of the sheet material and a controller in communication with the sensor. The sensor comprises a first color optical sensor producing a first signal representing a first physical attribute of the sheet material and a second color optical sensor producing a second signal representing a second physical attribute of the sheet material. The controller comprises a processor, a memory, and a communications adapter, controls dispensing and spreading of the sheet material for detection by the sensor, and signals to a user a presence of the usable edge in the sheet material upon detection by the sensor.
