Center-fed dunnage system feed and cutter

A dunnage system may include a converting station including a converter configured for pulling in a stream of sheet material and converting the material into dunnage, and an inlet guide having an inlet surface that is coiled such that first and second ends of the inlet surface are discontinuous with each other to define a gap therebetween, the inlet surface configured to channel the sheet material into the converter. A cutter for a dunnage system may include a blade with first and second phases of serrations that are coextensive over at least a portion of the blade, the first phase providing cutting serrations for cutting the dunnage, and the second phase comprising ledges for focusing the cutting and preventing or reducing bunching of the dunnage towards a side of the blade. A method of converting dunnage may also be provided.

Stacking system and method for continuously piling cutouts from at least one foil -or membrane-like material web onto a stack

Stacking system and method for continuously piling cutouts from at least one foil- or membrane-like material web onto a stack, wherein the at least one foil- or membrane-like material web is continuously fed, the at least one foil- or membrane-like material web is cut to a size dependent on the dimensions of the stack to form a blank, the blank is received by a magazine of a continuously moving, in particular rotating, transfer apparatus having a plurality of magazines, and where the received blank is transferred from the magazine onto the stack, before the magazine receives a subsequent blank.

Tear-assist blade

A material dispenser having a dispensing member configured to dispense a line of the material along a path in a downstream direction, and a cutting member having a cutting edge extending generally downstream with respect to the path. The cutting member having a convex shape across the path, such that the cutting edge engages and sequentially initiates cuts through the line of material when the line of material is pulled against the cutting member, thereby minimize cutting forces.

System, method, and device for foiling hair

A system, method, and device for foiling hair while using a technique similar to balayage. The system uses hair foils with at least one jagged edge, essentially functioning as a stencil for the balayage design technique. As such, the foil may not leave a straight demarcation when color is brushed off the ends of the foil onto the hair underneath from the previous foil layer, allowing the hair artist to employ a foiling process that is a combination of a paneled layering technique and a balayage technique.

Dunnage cut-assist biasing member

A conversion apparatus is provided herein. The conversion apparatus includes a cutting member having an edge configured for cutting the dunnage material. The conversion apparatus also includes a biasing member that is located adjacent to the cutting member such that the dunnage material passes between the biasing member and the cutting member. The biasing member operably contacts the dunnage material thereby biasing the dunnage material against the cutting member. The position of the biasing member relative to the cutting member is such that in response to the dunnage material being retracted back into the conversion apparatus the cutting member begins to sever the dunnage material, but in response to the dunnage material traveling in the dispensing direction the cutting member does not begin to sever the dunnage material due to the relative position.

CUTTING DEVICE AND FILM DISPENSER

The present disclosure provides a lightweight, portable and detachable dispenser for reeled products such as tape, wrapping paper, aluminum foils and likes. The dispenser comprises a base portion that is lodged in the inner circumference part of roll and provides an anchoring support to the dispenser, and a top portion that lies over and above the outer circumference of the roll to allow the free end of the reeled product to pass through it and rest on a raised area to which a cutting means is attached. Top portion and the cutting means enable dispenser to be used in two different modes wherein in first mode the reeled product is cut from top side and in the second mode it is cut from bottom side. Thus, the disclosed dispenser allows universal application and improves efficiency of dispensing.

A printed unit block aligning device includes a supporting element and an alignment transfer rail. The supporting element is opened and closed between a supporting position and a releasing position. The alignment transfer rail receives the group of the printed unit blocks dropped in response to move of the supporting element to the releasing position, aligns the printed unit blocks in each line unit block in a vertical direction, and feeds the printed unit blocks vertically at a constant speed using alignment transferring element. An electrical controlling element is provided that electrically controls timing of dropping the printed unit blocks from the supporting element onto the alignment transfer rail. While a speed of transfer of the horizontal feeding and transferring element are uniform for any imposition structure, the electrical controlling element controls timing of dropping the printed unit blocks in a manner that depends on the numbers of layers in each vertical line in different imposition structures.

Method and Device for Successively Winding a Film Web, and Film Roll

The invention relates to a method for successively winding a film web onto a plurality of spools, wherein the film web is wound to form a first spool, and a tube and/or winding shaft for forming a subsequent second spool and the film web are moved closer to one another and/or are brought into contact with one another upstream of the first spool. The film web is cut, and thus an end of the film web is produced, with end is wound onto the first spool, and a new start of the file web is produced, which is wound onto the second tube. In order to cut the film web, the film web is cut partially in the transverse direction, at least one cut edge and at least one uncut region remaining in the transverse direction, the uncut region being subsequently torn off or cut off.
