WEIGHT MATERIAL CUTTING, DISPENSING AND APPLYING SYSTEMS
A feed and cutting unit for selectively cutting and dispensing individual weight material segments from a common strip of backing material is disclosed. The feed and cutting unit comprises a feed assembly, a sensor and a cutter member. The feed assembly includes a drive roller and a follower roller that frictionally engages first and second surfaces of a strip of weight material to selectively move the strip of weight material to a cutter member. The sensor is connected to a controller and measures an amount of segmented weight material on the backing material as the strip of weight material moves past the sensor. The cutter member is actuated to separate weight material segments from the backing material by cutting at least a portion of the backing material in a gap disposed between adjacent segments. Weight apply devices that receive the segments for application to an imbalanced member, are also disclosed.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes: an apparatus main body; an image forming unit configured to form an image on a sheet; a fixing unit including a heating rotation body and a pressure rotation body that forms a nip portion between the heating rotation body and the pressure rotation body, and configured to fix the image onto the sheet; and a cutter disposed downstream of the fixing unit in a conveying direction of the sheet and capable of cutting the sheet. The cutter is capable of cutting the sheet at a center position of the sheet in the conveying direction. A distance by which the sheet is conveyed from the nip portion to the cutter is larger than half of a dimension of the sheet to be cut in the conveying direction.
Printing apparatus
There is provided a printing apparatus including: a holder configured to accommodate a printing medium; a conveyor configured to convey the printing medium along a conveying direction; a printer; a cutter configured to cut the printing medium; a first detector configured to detect front and rear ends of the printing medium; and a controller. A distance in the conveying direction between the first detector and the cutter is shorter than a length of one of media generated by dividing the printing medium into n-pieces of media. The controller is configured to: calculate a length in the conveying direction of the printing medium by using a result of the detecting of the front and rear ends, and set a cutting position of the printing medium; and cause the cutter to cut the printing medium at the set cutting position.

Hair foil dispenser
A hair foil dispenser (100) has a main casing (101); a removable covering (200); a roller arrangement including a driving roller (142) and a tensioning roller (140) for pulling foil (300) from a foil roll (320); a motor (830) provided to drive the driving roller (142); a cutting mechanism (160) for cutting at least one sheet of the foil (300) with a predetermined length; a proximity sensor (100, 810); and a control unit (500) provided to receive at least one signal from the proximity sensor and, upon sensing the presence of a user, to actuate the motor (830) to cause the roller arrangement to pull foil from the foil roll (320); and to actuate the cutting mechanism to cut the foil. The user can repetitively direct the dispenser to dispense a predetermined number of the foil sheets without requiring physical contact of the dispenser by the user.
