AUTOMATIC NAPKIN DISPENSER
The present application provides a napkin dispenser for dispensing a number of folded napkins from a sheet material to an end user. The napkin dispenser may include a loading station for loading the sheet material, a folding station for folding a napkin from the sheet material, and a presentation station for presenting one or more of the folded napkins to the end user.
Printing system and control method thereof
In a printing system capable of supplying a sheet of a job having undergone print processing by the printing unit of a printing apparatus to a post-processing unit capable of executing at least a specific type of post-processing among a plurality of types of post-processes, when the target job requires the specific type of post-processing, the printing apparatus is inhibited from executing print processing of the job without explicitly determining a sheet necessary for the print processing of the job by a user using a user interface unit. When the target job does not require the specific type of post-processing, the printing apparatus is permitted to execute print processing of the job without explicitly determining a sheet necessary for the print processing of the job by the user using the user interface unit.
SHEET FOLDING APPARATUS
A sheet folding apparatus includes a sheet folding unit disposed to fold a sheet and a conveyance unit disposed to feed the sheet to the sheet folding unit in a feed direction orthogonal to a fold direction of the sheet folding unit while correcting a skew of the sheet. The conveyance unit includes an elongated reference guide, a conveyance mechanism disposed to convey the sheet in the feed direction while exerting a force on the sheet toward the reference guide, an adjustment mechanism disposed to adjust an inclination of the reference guide with respect to the feed direction. The apparatus further includes an input unit through which a user inputs a folding misalignment amount of the sheet folded by the sheet folding unit. The inclination of the reference guide is corrected by the adjustment mechanism based on at least the folding misalignment amount inputted through the input unit.
SHEET FOLDING DEVICE, SHEET POST-PROCESSOR PROVIDED WITH THE SAME, AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
A paper sheet folding device (sheet folding device) 160 includes a paper sheet folding unit 60 and a tray unit 110 that is provided on one side surface 161a of a device main body 161 and includes a lower discharge tray 121 on which a paper sheet S discharged through a lower discharge port 85 is loaded. The tray unit 110 is pivotable in an up-down direction about a pivotal shaft 111. A discharge drive mechanism 132 is disposed at a center portion of the tray unit 110 in a paper sheet width direction.
"A Roller Folder"
The present invention provides a roller folder (100c). Existing roller folders do not provide sufficient entry margin for entry of intermediate items into the roller folder. The roller folder includes swiveling arms (212 or 224) that are angularly oriented from a first tangent (221) which increase entry margin (220) for the intermediate items such as paper strips. In some of embodiments, biasing members (237 or 238) restore positions of swivel arms (212 or 224) during folding operation. In other embodiments, slots (300 or 310) are provided for changing the angular orientation of the swiveling arms (212 or 224). The angular orientation of the swivel arms (212 or 224) reduces the occurrence of jamming of intermediate items while performing folding, pressing operations.
SADDLE-STITCH BOOKBINDING SYSTEM
A folding machine folding a sheet P1 into a predetermined folding pattern to form a signature P3, a saddle stitching machine 3 arranged downstream of the folding machine to staple and fold the signature and a control unit 15 controlling the folding machine and saddle stitching machine are provided. The folding machine has parameters adjustable depending on a thickness of the sheet. The saddle stitching machine has parameters adjustable depending on a thickness of the signature P3, P4. The control unit sets the parameters of the folding machine based on the information about the thickness of the sheet and sets the parameters of the saddle stitching machine based on the information about the thickness of the signature calculated using the information about the thickness of the sheet and the information about the folding pattern of the folding machine.
Information Item Forming Machine with Visual Inspection Unit and Method for Forming and Sorting Informational Items
An apparatus for forming and sorting informational items comprises a folding unit, a conveyor belt, a camera, a controller, and a diverter assembly. The folding unit forms a folded article from a sheet of paper. The conveyor belt transports the folded article. The camera captures an image of the folded article as it passes by the camera. The controller receives and processes the image, and the diverter assembly causes the folded article to move off of the conveyor belt when the controller determines that the folded article fails to satisfy at least one predetermined criteria.
Automated process for digitally manufacturing printed works
The invention concerns a process and a system for the digital printing of printed publications, for the flexible production, on demand, of a single publication or small series of publications. The process of the invention is an automated process for the manufacture of at least one publication printed from at least one sheet, comprising the steps wherein: a plurality of pages (1, 4, 5, 8) of the publication is printed (A) on the sheet (10) that is moved through a series of stations wherein, subsequently, the sheet (10) is folded (C) in half perpendicular to the direction of travel; the folded sheet (10) is pivoted (D) by 90 with respect to the direction of travel, and the edges (18, 19) of the folded sheet are trimmed to obtain separate, superposed leaves (16, 17).
Automatic Napkin Dispenser
The present application provides a tucker fold dispenser for folding and dispensing a sheet of material. The tucker fold dispenser may include an outer shell, a removable roller cassette positioned within the outer shell, a paper path therethrough, a number of loading rollers positioned about the paper path, a number of folding rollers positioned about the paper path, and a tucker bar mechanism positioned about the folding rollers.
