METHOD OF INSTALLING CABLE ON CABLE REEL
A method of installing cable on a cable reel apparatus that includes providing a pre-wound, reel-less coil of cable for installing on a separable cable reel. The cable reel includes a first flange that is configured to be rotatably coupled to a first frame, and the first flange has opposite inner and outer sides, and a second flange that is separate from the first flange and is configured to be rotatably coupled to a second frame, and the second flange has opposite inner and outer sides. One of the first and second flanges includes a hub portion that extends transversely from the inner side thereof. The method also includes instructing a user to releasably couple the first and second flanges to support the pre-wound, reel-lees coil of cable on the hub portion between the first and second flanges along the central longitudinal axis of the separable cable reel.

Method of installing cable on cable reel
Methods of installing a cable reel or a coil of cable in a bag. The methods can include one or more steps such as releasably coupling a hub portion of a first flange with a second flange of the cable reel, and the hub portion is configured to support a coil of cable, placing the first flange on a first support frame secured to a base of the bag; and placing a coil of cable on the hub portion for dispensing the cable from the bag.

Cable reel
A kit of separate components for assembly of a cable reel apparatus that includes a pre-wound coil of cable, a bag, first and second frames having a geometry configured to fit inside of the base of the bag, and first and second flanges. The first flange is configured for engaging the first frame and has a first hub portion on the inner surface of the first flange. The second flange is configured for engaging the second frame has a second hub portion on the inner surface of the second flange. The first and second hub portions are sized to fit within the inner diameter of the coil of cable and are configured to releasably couple with one another to form a hub member for supporting the coil of cable between the first and second flanges.

Reel enclosures
A reel enclosure includes a base and a door pivotally coupled with the base. The door is movable between a first closed position and a second open position and is configured to hold a reel at an interior surface of the door. The reel is configured to have cable wound thereon. In the first closed position, the base is configured to prevent the reel from rotating relative to the door and the base, and, in the second open position, the door is configured to hold the reel outside of an interior of the base and permit the reel to rotate relative to the door and the base.
Cable reel trailer
The present invention discloses various aspects of a cable reel trailer that uses the automotive force of a tractor or truck used to transport the trailer, a method of making same, and a method of using. The inclusion of a pivotally connected tongue that is pivotally connected to the main frame of the trailer overcomes many of the aforementioned problems with the prior art because there is no motor or hydraulic system necessary for lifting the cable reel securely on to the trailer. In accordance with the present invention, the towing automotive force, such as a truck, tractor or any other hauling vehicle, provides all the power for lifting the cable reel, rather than requiring a separate power source on the trailer for doing the heavy lifting. By locking up the wheel on the trailer with a wheel stop, the forward movement provided by a towing truck can concentrate on lifting the cable reel instead of moving the trailer forward. This means that no separate on-board power is needed for lifting the cable reel.
