Capstan and system of capstans for use in spooling multiple conductors onto a single reel
A capstan includes a lift motor, a flexible lifting member, and a tether assembly. The lift motor is operatively connected to a shaft. The flexible lifting member includes a first end and a second end. The first end is connected to the shaft. The flexible lifting member connects a lift assembly to the lift motor via the shaft. The tether assembly includes a switch arranged between a portion of the flexible lifting member and a portion of the capstan. The second end is connected to the tether assembly. The switch acts as a safety in case of a broken flexible lifting member and allows for an automated unloading cycle.
Apparatus and method for winding coil
An apparatus for winding filamentary material includes a mandrel rotatable about a spindle axis of rotation and a traverse reciprocating at a distance with respect to the spindle axis to wind the filamentary material in a figure-eight coil configuration with a payout hole extending radially from the inner to the outer wind of the coil. The apparatus includes a measurement device for measuring the diameter of the coil as it is being wound around the mandrel, and a controller for controlling the reciprocating movement of the traverse with respect to the rotation of the mandrel based on the measured diameter of the coil. The measurement device may include a first sensor configured to measure a length of filamentary material wound about the mandrel and a second sensor configured to measure an angular displacement of said mandrel during the winding of the length of filamentary material about said mandrel.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING COIL COMPONENT AND WINDING DEVICE
A method for manufacturing a coil component that can contribute to prevention of durability degradation of a wire. The method includes winding a plurality of wires, that are supplied from a wire supply source to a nozzle through a tensioner, around a core by revolving the core around the nozzle. Also, during the winding, the core is rotated in a direction same as or opposite to a revolution direction of the core.

Spool Winder
A spool winder. The spool winder includes a plurality of arms, each having an upper end and a lower end. The plurality of arms are pivotally affixed at the lower end about a rod, wherein the rod can removably secure to a power drill. A notch is disposed on the upper end such that the notch faces the rod, wherein the notch can receive a rim of a spool therein. The spool winder further includes a slide lock having a plurality of apertures therein, wherein the plurality of apertures can receive the plurality of arms therethrough. The plurality of arms can move between a closed position and an open position as the slide lock is moved from the upper end towards the lower end. The distance between the upper end of each of the plurality of arms and the rod is greater when the arms are in the open position.
