An arrangement of elongated material wound in a plurality of layers on a spool having a cylindrical core, a bottom flange and a top flange. A first series of layer form a conical basis of elongated material on the core where elongated material is present at the bottom flange in a larger amount than at the top flange. A second series of layers is wound over the conical basis. The conical basis is formed by a first layer being wound on the cylindrical core between the bottom flange and the top flange in a first number of windings, a second layer being wound on the first layer in a second number of windings being equal to or smaller than the first number of windings, the second layer reaching the bottom flange, where additional layers are wound on the second layer in numbers of windings.

Stabilizing center core for stabilizing a coil of duct or cable

The present invention relates to a stabilizing center core for stabilizing a coil of duct or cable. The stabilizing center core comprises a center tube having a first and a second end. A first plate element is arranged at the first end of the center tube, and a second plate element is arranged at the second end of the center tube. The center core further comprises at least three third plate elements extending between the first plate element and the second plate element and arranged at angular distances around a circumference of the center tube, whereby a duct or cable that is wound around the stabilizing center core is supported by the third plate elements.

Spool assembly and method of assembly

A spool configured to support a roll of material. The spool comprises an arbor, a first flange, and a second flange. The first flange includes a first plurality of flange panels that are rotatably connected to respective arbor panels of the arbor at a first arbor edge of the arbor. The second flange is connected to a second arbor edge of the arbor. The first flange is configured to transition between a retention configuration and an open configuration. In the retention configuration, the roll of material is substantially prevented from removal from the arbor along an arbor axis by the first and second flanges. In the open configuration, the roll of material is removable from the arbor and receivable on the arbor in the arbor direction.

Method for adapting a changing movement of a thread to a flange spool and spooling device

A method for adapting a travel end position of a changing movement of a thread to a flange spool includes means of which the thread is moved back and forth during a spooling operation along a rotation axis of the flange spool relative to the flange spool by means of a changing thread guide. The flange-side travel end position can be moved away from the flange of the flange spool in an axial direction when the thread tension decreases when the thread is moved away from the flange-side travel end position. Also, the flange-side travel end position can be moved by means of the changing thread guide in an axial direction towards a flange of the flange spool when the thread tension increases when the thread is moved away from the flange-side travel end position. Included is a spooling device for carrying out the disclosed method.
