Geared strap winding device
Provided is a strap rolling device for quickly and easily coiling items such as cargo straps. The apparatus comprising a base plate, a manual crank assembly, a strap reel assembly, a gear assembly and a chain for the gear assembly. The manual crank assembly is attached to the base plate, and is used to turn the gear assembly. The gear assembly enhances the rotational motion of the manual crank assembly, and is attached to the strap reel assembly, allowing the strap winder to perform the task of winding a cargo straps in a more efficient manner than can be done without gears. The apparatus contains hardware for mounting the device directly to a flat-bed truck with a clamp, or, in another embodiment, for mounting the device onto a stake hole.
Strap winder and carrier
A tie down strap winder and carrier includes a basket for carrying a plurality of straps in side-by-side relationship to each other, a pocket on one end of the basket for storing a reel, which can be removed from the pocket and inserted into a socket in an outer end of the pocket and basket for receiving and winding a strap, and a slider for mounting on the reel to facilitate removal of a wound strap from the reel.
Cord winder and rail storage system
A winder accessory comprises a gripper assembly adapted to be releasably attached to a rail. A cord winder mechanism is supported on the gripper and comprises a spooling mechanism for winding a cord. The spool mechanism rotates on a rotating joint about a first axis of rotation relative to the gripper. The spooling mechanism may comprise a wireform. A detachable pivot joint may be provided between the cord winder mechanism and the gripper assembly that defines a second axis of rotation.
Hose winding device
The hose winding device has an open rectangular parallelepiped skeleton frame made of tubular members. The upper cross members at opposite ends of the frame include a lower wringer roller mounted on a shaft fixed to opposite sides of the frame and an upper wringer roller spaced above the lower wringer roller. The wringer rollers compress and flatten the fire hose as it is cranked through the wringer rollers, thereby removing any water left inside the hose. A pair of spaced apart, vertical guide rollers are mounted closely behind the wringer rollers, the four rollers being configured similar to a winch's roller fairlead, permitting the hose to be smoothly wound on the device without first straightening the hose. A hand crank is removably mounted to opposite sides of the frame halfway between opposite ends of the frame. The crank has a hose coupler retainer extending parallel to the crank's axle.
Ratcheting strap with take-up reel
A ratcheting strap device has an elongate body with a reel axis towards a first end and a ratcheting mechanism towards a second end opposite there-from. The ratcheting mechanism is affixed to the body, and has a spool axis and a ratchet spool rotatable relative to the body there-about. A first strap/hook member has a first length of strap affixed to a first one of the ratcheting mechanism and the body at a first proximal end, and has a first hook affixed to a first distal end there-of. A take-up reel is affixed to the body and rotational relative thereto about the reel axis. A second strap hook member has a second length of strap having a second proximal end connectable to the take-up reel, has a take-up strap portion adjacent to the second proximal end and windable around the take up reel, and has a second hook affixed to a second distal end there-of. The second length of strap has a midsection between its second proximal and distal ends, passing through and engageable by the ratchet spool such that rotation of the spool causes the midsection to be wound there-around.
Equine bandage wrapper
An equine bandage wrapping device includes a motor with a rotating drive shaft mounted on a hinged bracket. A forked spindle coupled to the motor engages the bandage. The hinged bracket pivots in response to external force causing a torque on the hinge. The external force is supplied by the user pulling slightly against the bandage while it is secured to the forks. Such force is resisted by a spring disposed between a base plate and the underside of the floating end of the hinged bracket. If sufficient force is applied to overcome the spring force, then the electrical circuit between the motor and power source is closed, resulting in the motor turning on. The circuit is opened by removing the external force to cause the spring to return to its extended position, resulting in the motor stopping movement.
Axially-adjustable winder for flat-web, strand, hose, rope, electric cord or strings of holiday lights and so on
A winding device has an axially-adjustable spindle assembly for winding a variety of elongated flexible materials into windings or spiral coils, including without limitation flat-web, garden hose, strand, twined, braided or woven rope or the like, electric cord or even strings of holiday lights and so on. The winding device comprises a pair of side frames, one which is driven in revolutions and the other which is generally stationary. The side frames have inboard surfaces facing each other and outboard surfaces facing away. One side frame has a hollow tubular sleeve extending away from about the center of its inboard surface while the other side frame has a cylindrical spindle stub extending away from about the center of its respective inboard surface. The spindle stub telescopes into the tubular sleeve such that the side frames can revolve/rotate relative each other, close the gap between each other, or pull apart.
Fire Hose Pack Roller
The fire hose pack roller includes a first embodiment where the device is held in place by a bracket positioned under a vehicle's tire and the weight of the vehicle secures the device for use or in a second embodiment where the device is removably mounted to the vehicle. The hose pack roller device includes a pair of collapsible arms that are unfolded and the fire hose is would around pegs mounted on the arms. The device further includes a set of rollers that squeezes air and water from the hose as it is wound. Once wound the hose is easily folded into a Gansner type pack for storage of the hose. The arms of the device may be folded closed such that the device forms a compact unit for storage. No external power supply is required.
